Ok - maybe the first yellow on M was soft - but the second was plain as day. Materazzi had NO IDEA where the ball was and as soon as he saw Torres run by him he grabbed Torres shoulder. WATCH THE DAMN VIDEO in the game thread. That on its own should have been the yellow. Instead the ref let the play go for 2-3 more seconds to see what developed thus making the yellow seem soft.

Further - not only did the head ref see this - the linesman's flag went up instantly. It was a yellow all the way. I understand that M is a dbag and a goon, but this wasn't 2 yellows in retaliation for him being who he is - it was 2 yellows b/c he couldn't handle Torres.

So please - non-Liverpool fans - STFU about that being the turning point in the game. It was clear from the first 30 minutes that Inter had NO intention of trying to win and wer eplaying for a draw.

I dont know if this deserved its own thread, but the tug on the shoulder for the second was obvious.

He was getting torn apart by Torres' pace and had to resort to those tactics to literally 'pull him back'.

The guy's a clown and this game just confirmed it.

Anyone who thinks that the first yellow was just an "innocent tangling of the legs" is very naive.

He got both because of his self-fashioned reputation as a creep and cheat. Poor bastard. Maybe next time he should move his slow-azz feet.

    Closed.
