    Re: NT Coach....

then how the hell are other coaches "out of reach" or even worse "out of budget"?!

this is the question which boils in my mind churning out bullsh*t excuses for the most part....the answer is simple, there too much red tape in our federacion

Chicos pues, Im not liking this.... The FEF's inability to act is ridiculous. I like Bolillo as well but its like been there done that, it's time for the next step. I think we couldve gotten any one of those forementioned coaches, but in this case the FEF is to blame for waiting to long and not making the necessary strides to achieve un tecnico of great quality. When he says we need someone to be able to know our players is bull and laziness. Vizuete as assistant would know the players, and with the class of an experienced coach we might not win them all but sure as hell we would learn a new style and form a new team all together. They're saying were gettin a coach at the end of February, LAZYNESS.

    Re: NT Coach....

    He quited. He wasn't shot.

As a matter of fact he left the team because he THOUGHT that Ecuador could not make it to the WC after the terrible loss to Argentina in Copa America 2004.

Now he'll be back, funny hahh???

(It seems like Argentina follows him wherever he goes and punchs him in the face every single time).

...regarding Bolilllo...Well ok the "good times".

What about the "bad times"?. Remeber back in
WC Japan/Korea how Bolillo was saying that it was a surprise to him that we qualified? Remeber when we started to lose...where was his motivating spirit?

i'm sorry, without positive reinforcement, I don't see us going anywhere. Bolillo simply can't cut it.

He will say stay faithful only if we do good.

What kind of attitude is that?

Quote me on this (I hope I am wrong)
Bolillo is going to put more water on our sining ship.

    Re: NT Coach....

now the federacion says they'll have a coach by the end of February?! WTF is this crap?! seriously now, they said by the end of January and they had nobody....Bolillo's name is convenient to bring up for them becuase he had relative success in Ecuador, a world cup, victories against tough opponents, etc. but FEF won't recognize the disastrous Copa America? the loss to Haiti? Failure at the Gold Cup?

I'll venture to say that he's not even the choice and is the only name on the list because they procrastinated the whole month expecting coaches to come crawling to Ecuador for a shot with our NT. I am almost certain this is some kind of smokescreen for the laziness at the FEF in trying to get a good coach because they put it off for so long...Suarez quit when?! Back in October I think..Vizuete took over for 1 game, we won big and since then what have they been doing? Jerking off at their desks and sitting on their hands waiting for nothing...absolutely terrible, I've hated the FEF dirigentes for so long and their ineptitude at hiring a coach only further fuels my dislike of them

    Re: NT Coach....

It's that ego thing. I think they are embarrassed at the choices they made in the past. I guess by them bending a bit, this might expose their failures so the FEF just wants to save face. Bunch of old timers.

FEF...it would be wise to beg at the only reasonbalbe option we have; Viszuete.

Properly approached, I think FEF could persuade Vizuete to Coach our team.

    Re: NT Coach....

No... Vizuete.... does not have international experience el man puede ser assistente. I want an argentinian or european touch to our futbol. Something else. We have the technique and midfield capabilities. Defense needs to be tighten and taught to move along with the rest of the team at a pace. We need the attacking impetus. We have the players we need the affinity of a team and a crowd that want to win. We need to support our players however badly we are playing to make them understand that they are playing for something. If anything the peru ecuador game showed me is that the players played for their country and their people, not for a coach or a federation. The FEF is ignoring the wants of the people that is ridiculous, i am certain that we are not the only ones wanting more.

In the other hand I do see our clubs progressing a little more. They are thinking of progress rather then exporting players ( which is good but a respectable players needs to sweat a shirt to have respect for any other team he plays for.) I admire LDU, Barcelona, Deportivo Quito (Saritama is blessing them greatly) for wanting to grow as clubs. With that in mind I hope that we continue to grow as a powerful and humilde team.

    Re: NT Coach....

Bolillo wasn't cheap 4 years ago. But he's pennies on the dollar compared to what some new 'foreign' based DT would ask for to coach Ecuador. Similar to Bielsa's $2MM dollar contract with Chile is likely what an experienced DT would ask for in Ecuador. I think in Guatemale he was making $30K/month = $360/year...cheap by the 'new standards' in Conmebol + Mexico.

    Re: NT Coach....

Exactly, How much do you think Passarella will charge? when he was making abut 40k monthly in River, Just to throw a number the best paid player in Ecuador right now is Marcos Mondaini he makes close to 35k a month and this is a record breaking salary in Ecuafutbol[would be nice if started scoring huh?], and according to Estadio [which is not a reliable source] Suarez was making 20k a month when we qualified to 2006 of course I'm sure he got all kinds of bonuses when things started looking up, and of course the federacion doesn't help by not scheduling amistosos that eventually bring an income, specially when we are invited, add the dissapointing performances of the younger divisions and failures to qualify to international events, and in el campeonato nacional last year was one of the worst attendance wise[ probably since Barcelona and Emelec didnt qualify to Liguilla]so their income from that hasn't been good, It wouldn't be crazy to say that Ecuafutbol is probably going through some rough times financially, as a matter of fact I read that Deportivo Cuenca asked Ecuafutbol a little financial support to fix their field for La Libertadores and Ecuafutbol denied them, Thankfully El municipio de Cuenca and the Alcalde came through[BTW THEY WON TONIGHT]

    Re: NT Coach....

you say no and I say who do we have.
    PERIOD
REgarding the Peru game, are you telling me that Vizuete had nothing to do with our Victory? Need I remind you how many games we lost. We did not lose, we got killed. Against Brazil, we played a fantastic game. We played like we wanted to win. Then we got demoralized. Then we got spanked.

He took our under21 NT to victory because he is a great technician. It is obvious that he has an eye for talent. It is obvious that he knows strategy well.

    Again I bang my head.

Vizuete is the only option that makes sense. WWE do not have any optionsYOu rather Bolillo than Vizuete? Answer that foe me please.

I can not believe that I keep hearing this "Experience"Factor.

Please man, this guy has heart and he is Ecuadorian.

Look, what I am saying is to give him a shot at a friendly to see once and for all if he is qualified. Do you oppose this idea?

To me, it is just simple math.

If Vizuete wants the shot, he should get it....
FEF should not discard his name from a sort list of coaches

Vizuete will get a another chance against mexico the 22 of Feb in Queretaro.
La Tri will play a friendly against the aztecs, but the coach will use the sele sub 23 instead of the sele absoluta. That nomina is 95 % of the pelados that won the pan am gold in Brasil.
Looks like Vizuete has a lot of faith with these cara sucias,,,the outcome of this game will probably tell the future of Vizuete.

BTW....mexico will play also la sub23 from chile and Paraguay.

    *Shocked*
That's a bit extreme. Like I said before, desperate times call for desperate measures.

If we win this game (and I'm not talking about a 1-0 victory either), we def have to hold on to him.

If we lose, I'l put in my Vizuete Cheerleader uniform back in the closet. (gives me a chance to lose weight)

    Thanks for the Info Yoryi

    Re: NT Coach.... search?

Argentino Gallego, otro candidato a la selección
    Guayaquil (CRE).-

I wouldn't mind this guy for a acoach at all.

I would do it he is a good coach...there is not a coach out there who is perfect.. I won't necessarily criticize him or any coach for a loss at home..It would be nice to have in ecuador a coach of high caliber
