Not sure how many have signed up, but I do know it's full 11 v 11 w/subs. We're supposed to meet up at the pitch @ Pier 40 by 7:50 AM, with the game starting @ 8.

They told me "courtyard east," and I assumed that's the roof. Rather than confusing everyone, just go there and find "courtyard east."

the courtyard east pitch is on the first floor once you walk thru the gates/not the roof:

I'll play if needed. Its an early drive up from Philly, which I honestly was not sure I was going to make, buttttttttttttttttttttttt...I can play on the left, either mid or in the back. What exactly do I need to bring other than the red kit? Is it flats or spikes? I assume with the wanky Spurs fans I'll need shin-gaurds as well, right?

    Nick, you are needed!!!

We've got XI. Some subs would be very nice.

I'm planning on wearing turf shoes but will bring proper studded boots, too, just in case. Yes, shin guards recommended.

Ok, I guess I'll be there. That's horribly early though.

Is this coed? If so, I could probably convince my fiancee that she wants to play.

Nice. I'll be on the sidelines yelling out unhelpful tips ala Sir Red Nose.

I'm coming up Saturday afternoon, staying at my cousin's in the East Village. Nick (HomeatHighbury) is coming down from Boston and staying with us.

Rick's flight doesn't get in until 5:30 Sunday morning. I think the plan is for David (Doctor K) to pick Rick & Natalie up at the airport, drop Natalie at the hotel, and then for the two of them to meet us at Pier 40.

As for Sunday after the match, I'm thinking that Rick will probably want to go get some sleep, and then I think the loose plan is for him to meet us at Nevada Smiths with the FA Cup later that afternoon, although that may have changed.

I know that he and Natalie want to do some sight-seeing as well, although the bulk of that may have to wait until Monday morning.

The NYC Spurs Pres emailed me, concerned about the forecast. They are calling for snow Saturday into what should be a cold and windy Sunday morning.

wwnyc, since this isn't the roof pitch, is it at all covered?

If inclement weather forces a postponement, we will have an alternate schedule for get togethers with Rick B & Guests.

weather.com is saying 46 degrees sat. occasional showers / sunday should be above freezing.

    the pitch is not covered.
