Honestly, Teso, this is how you and antifan should resolve your running disputes... Instead of the half-assed sniping on three different threads simultaneously. It shows a great lack of dedication, I think, that you two can go through all that and neither one decide to explode out with something on the level of "you should really just change your name to bigINTERNETTOUGHGUY."
Wow things are tense around here. It seems like it takes about 2.5 posts for every thread to go to s*it. Who gives a flying f*ck about the ACN anyhow. I care that Kolo got hurt but if this tournament went bye bye on a permanent basis i would be overjoyed. Or at least just schedule it during the summer. Either way is fine by me.
granted, it's irritating to lose important players for a stretch at a time but we have to remember too that we benefited greatly with eboue the last time around. have to take the good with the bad.
We need to get in the market fast, I actually wouldn't mind if we pulled a few from the youth acadamy to the first team, most of them look really good. Even if Kolo's injury isn't serious, we still need 2 more players, just incase.
I'm very sorry to admit this, but I am afraid that his injury is my fault. Less than 48 hrs ago I had my sister order me a jersey with Kolo's name/number for my birthday. I only hope that this is not serious and he will be on the pitch when I am at Emirates in March.
To know when Toure will be back: Take our expectation, double it, double it again, then think of a number between 1 and 10, and add the two together, now double that one last time and that is how long he will be out - give or take a month or so.
Good news. Daily Mail reports he may be fit for the next ACN match. Daily Mail Story He's still having a scan though. Here's hoping that they they don't play Toure and cause more damage.
Ivory Coast secured their advancement, but I don't know if they secured top spot? so hopefully they do rest him
ivory coast arent playing toure for the mali game http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=502431&cc=5901
Methinks this is actually a good thing. I'd much have Toure rested than to have him played when he might be a bit tender. Of course, I'll be curious to see how he looks when he does come back.* * Oh wait...can't actually see him because the African football federation priced the tv rights so hight that it's nearly impossible to see the tournament if you're in the US or Europe.
FYI if you have Dish Network. Part of the Arabic package, channel ART, airs every match live and replays them in the evenings as well.
Sadly enough, I have cable. Even so, I doubt I would have had the forethought to subscribe to the Arabic package to watch the ACN.
I liked their world cup one better (lighter shade of orange) but these are a lot nicer than I thought they would be.
