Hi! Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the squad numbers for each of the UAE clubs? I have recently started to watch Al Wasl in Dubai and I have no idea of the names (apart from the two foreigners). I am particulary interested in finding out the name of the No. 17. Thanks in advance
Good Choice. AlWasl is called the Emperor in the UAE for being a big name in all the sports, not only Football. Its also names Brazil of the Emirates for being the only team that has never been rrelegated, thus attending all the Premier League Seasons from the beginning to the end. Some of the Big Names in AlWasl: Defenders: 6 Waheed Ismail 5 Sami Rabie 4 Khalaf Ismail 8 Ali Mahmood Midfielders: 10 Khalid Darwish 7 Eissa Ali 25 Tareq Darwish 9 Tareq Hassan Forwards: 17 Alexander Olivera (Brazilian) 99 Andre Diaz (Brazilian) 23 Mohammad Salim And 55 Majid Nasser The GoalKeeper. AlWasl also has the biggest fans base in the UAE. Finally, watch this video which tels you about alWasl's journey in the last season: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A1RsatkFQ8 Please don't hesitate to ask any questions that you may have. VidER
I learned an interesting info when I was a member in one of the Emeriti forums, Al-Wasl has one of the big database fans in UAE but most of them doesn't go to the stadium.
Not at all. Most of Abu Dhabi club fans are rented. Some of them are traditional dancing bands that get hired to cheer for the clubs! AlWasl has the largest fans base in the UAE. They used not to attend matches as much as other clubs, but this has changed recently with the formation of the official fans group. Last season AlWasl fans were one of the main features of the UAE League, they were one of the main reasons behind AlWasl winning the double. VidER
