    1st reply.

I'm pretty damn excited for this game considering it won't be either teams full squad.

What would you like to see as a starting lineup? Here is the roster....

Goalkeepers: Brad Guzan (Chivas USA), Will Hesmer (Columbus), Matt Pickens (Chicago), Zach Wells (D.C.)

Defenders: Dan Califf (Aalborg, Denmark), Jimmy Conrad (Kansas City), Ramiro Corrales (Brann, Norway), Todd Dunivant (Toronto), Clarence Goodson (San Jose), Drew Moor (Dallas), Michael Parkhurst (New England), Eddie Robinson (Houston), Marvell Wynne (Toronto)

Midfielders: Kyle Beckerman (Salt Lake), Ricardo Clark (Houston), Brad Davis (Houston), Maurice Edu (Toronto), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Justin Mapp (Chicago), Pat Noonan (New England)

Forwards: Jozy Altidore (New York), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles), Eddie Johnson (Kansas City), Chris Rolfe (Chicago), Taylor Twellman (New England), Jeremiah White (Aarhus, Denmark)

Hopefully we see some players willing to pull the trigger tonight. As I watch other teams play i feel like when given the opportunity from 25 out they take it as a gift on a silver platter while we are to timid to let it rip. I am confident that there are players that can take that shot. Lets see it tonight!

Who's not going to be available tonight? Guzan, Pickens, and Johnson are in Europe right now, I think. I heard something about Califf nursing a hamstring injury, too. Goodson was in Europe, but I think he might be back by now(?).

Looking forward to this match - it's a good opportunity to see a few players that wouldn't normally play.

I dont know, but for it not being with are A side, im still pmuped. Lets start 2008 off with another win, going in to play Mexico with some confidence. I have a question, on a Bradley interview, he kinda said that the people in this camp will be playing vs Mexcio, isnt that gonna be a game where are A squad will be playing? Or will it be like lasts years when we had are B squad?

I hope Goodson gets his first cap. I'd like to see what him and Parkhurst can do in the middle.

    My 11:

    Guzan or whoever
    Wynne--Goodson--Parkhurst--Dunivant (whoever's a LB)
    Edu--Clark
    Kljestan--Mapp
    Donovan
    Altidore

Back lineup looks okay, as does Edu and Clark in midfield. I believe I have seen Noonan on the left, so would like to see him on the left and Donovan more to the right, with Altidore and possibly White up top. I have never seen White play, but if he has any speed, I would like to see him paired with Altidore. Believe it or not, I would not mind seeing Twellman with Altidore, possibly even Rolff. I also read that Johnson left camp, or otherwise I would like to see him with Altidore.

I think this is it, except corrales for dunivant, and twellman for altidore.

I hope White and Altidore get at least 30 minutes.

    This looks pretty good.

I really want to see Altidore get a chance to play some solid minutes this game. Especially since none of the other strikers can offer themselves as a "target" man.

2:45pm Eastern Time, and if you went to ESPN Soccernet.com US page, you would never know there is a friendly tonight. There is a game tonight right?

Is Dunivant still in camp/available for the game? I know it was posted in a few places on the board that his brother passed away on January 10th.

    here
What I would like to see:

    Wynne----------Parkhurst--------Goodson----------Dunivant

    -------------------------Clark, (Beckerman late sub)

    Noonan 1st half-------------------------------Mapp
    White 2nd half

    ---------------------------Edu

    --------------Donovan 1st half----------------------------Rolfe 2nd half

    ----------------------------------------Altidore

Since I'm sure we'll see BB's "American Catenaccio" Sacred Empty Bucket, I'd be fine with running the same players like this

    X----------------X--------------X--------------X

    -----------------X--------------X

    ---X------------------------------------------X

    ------<------------------X------------------->
    -------<-----------------X------------------>

Sweden's starting lineup, as announced late yesterday: (subject to change of course)
    4-1-3-2 as always...

    ----------------- Shaaban* -------------------

    Lustig^ -- Bjärsmyr -- Larsson -- Rönningberg

    ----------------- Andersson* -----------------
    Alexandersson** -- Svensson** -- Johansson

    --------- Wernbloom^ --- Prica -----------

^ = National team debut (at senior level)
    * = Member of A squad, sometimes in starting lineup
** = Member of A squad, most of the time in starting lineup

No, right now there is nothing on ESPN Soccernet about the game. Tonight is when the game is being played.

Anyone know when the roster will be released? Is Hardworking Bob using the ol' BA "nobody knows who starts till they come out of the tunnel--even the players" tactic to confuse our opponents? That really seemed to work well for us this past summer, I'm thinking we should stick with it.
