I'm a Yank studying in Krakow this year, and all I've heard in these parts indicates a game at the Wisla stadium here in Krakow. Granted, I've not heard much (other than a small mention on the tv) which said that it was thought that the game would be held here.

Foxsoccer reported that the US would host, but thus far, it's the only source I've seen citing this...

Out of curiosity, is there anyone - for some odd reason - planning to make the trip?

Me too, as Croatia's actually the other team I follow.

Honestly, though, if we went to Croatia, the main thing we'd learn is that Twellman just ain't international class (as if we didn't know that already). Man, I hope Bob starts leaving him home...

(Prediction for that match if played in Croatia: Croatia 2-0 USA, both goals off set-pieces. Their hustle would control the midfield game by a small margin in Zagreb, and we'd barely get a look-in in the attack as their defense is just too strong for our current forward pool. Played in 2009 or 10, with Altidore and Adu in form, we'd see a different result. Talent-wise, there's not nearly as much separating the two sides as most would think. I know the Croatian team well, I lived in Zagreb from 2004-06.)

How many people does the Wisla Stadium seat?

    Wisla website says it's 20114...

I would have said roughly 20,000...so this figure seems very accurate

I doubt we let up 2 goals on set pieces, we are actually really good at defending them.

I would whole heartedly disagree on that.
Croatia has a form striker in Eduardo, talented, and gift creative midfielders in Kranjcar and Modric and a solid though not remarkable back line.
I would see a visit to Zagreb as a wonderful test for the US but I don't think anything pleasant on the result side would come from it.

I too am a Yank abroad (Freiburg)- saw the Nats in Switzerland a few months back and would like to see them again. Poland is a quality team, though I'm not so sure about making it there for the game (I hear the Poles are a bit hardcore).
