Anyone know if Adidas/MLS/LAG are going to merchandise the Beckham popularity with a third kit in 2008? I realize the white and navy kits will be the same as 2007 -- however, given the number of units sold in 2007 it seems strange that they wouldn't want to introduce at least one new kit per year. Didn't FC Dallas (royal blue) and Galaxy (gold with blue) have a third kit a couple of years ago?
That gold and blue kit was useless/pointless. I believe is was used once....our first ever loss to Chivas USA and it was never on sale to the public.
No, it was on sale in the Team LA store for a while during the 2006 season. I saw some people walking around with them on, too.

That's interesting... most online stores have the 1st and 2nd kits listed as "07/08," which would take us through this season.
I would be very opposed to a new home kit. We just got this one (not to mention I bought it)! I am, however, a large advocate of 3rd kits. I would love to see a gold or very light blue with navy and gold trim. BUT, I also don't want my 6 month old home jersey to be out of date.
The talk is that the new home jerseys, are almost exactly the same, they just lose the fat yellow linesin the middle. Basically they'll look like the away kits in white w/blue trim.
yeap that would fit with the already "leaked" or "released" new adidas shirts and their templates. funnily I didn't get me the home one just because of that yellow stuff on it... still wish we would use darkblue/gold as primary colors and shirts.
our royal blue and yellow kit was a special kit used once due to our partnership with tigres. we used their colors as inspiration, and they were a big hit with the fans here. just too bad there was only a select portion available for sale to the public. so i wouldnt really call it a 3rd kit, more like a novelty one. heres a pic:
The Gold with Blue kit was to match a Mexican rival of Chivas... one time only. and it was sold as someone else said.
