Really glad to see Jerry White in there. Kudos to Bob Bradley for keeping an open mind and giving opportunities to as many players as possible.

Good call ups, and I kind of wish that Conway would be given a chance too. Though overall the players that were called up are well deserved, and I am happy to finally see White get his shot also. Those who will come to diss the TT pick shouldn't because this MLS season he was the most in form striker, and he does deserve a call in all honesty.

Like the roster a lot and think it will be a nice camp. Really happy with Altidore and he should be there. But i do not know who Will Hesmer and Ramiro Corrales are. Any info or insight?

Nothing wrong with the list. I don't harp the Twellman calling, I think he's a great MLS forward, but I think he's not going to be effective outside concacaf. However, with our problems at that position and his performances for NE, it's hard to not call him in.
I like the new people and look forward to seeing them. If anyone wants to make the team or make a real case, they better do it now when the euro guys are still in season. Will Clark be able to play, or does the MLS band carry over for whatever games he caps?
I still say him and Edu will be one hell of a combo.

I hate to sound stupid because of my lack of knowledge in this area, but will our roster for the Sweden match be taken from this training camp list?

Lack of knowledge excused, it will indeed be taken from this list.

It's about time finally Jeremiah White is in the camp. Starting RM for the match vs Sweden. It should have never taken this long but i finally have something positive to think about towards bunker down 2 DM coach Bradley

Another Taylor Twellman call-up, and another waste of letting a young forward like Kenny Cooper a chance. Taylor Twellman has showed time and time again, he can't score on the international level, he's too slow. He's a less-talented Andy Johnson...

This is an extremely limited roster in my opinion. Many of these players should not be in a US uniform. I guess that's what happens with the winter camp though. Where's Kenny Cooper? I hope Jozy gets some significant PT over Twellman and EJ. How does the saying go? Stupidity is trying the same thing many times expecting a different result.

I would like to see Altidore start up top with Johnson. There pace could be deadly and with Donovan in a CAM posistion or somewhere where he can support them maybe in right mid. But Johnson and Altidore's pace could be interseting but i see Bradley starting Twellman. I just hope Altidore gets a start and would like to see what White could do. Also would like to see Edu and Clark work the mid

surprised at a few listings and omissions, but i guess that normal. This one maybe slightly more than usual but overall not bad selections.

Keepers: i guess we are bringing along the newbies, honestly very surprised that Reis or Cannon arent there. Guzan is probably the guy.

Defense: Ramiro is a huge surprise for me, no getting around it. Did not see that one coming, guess he's auditioning for a Quakes return. I about dropped my coffee when i didnt see Bornstein, but i guess he's recovering from an operation so all is indeed right in the world. I guess Dunivant is the left back fo the camp then? I guess the surfer is finally done though.....no more Hejduk.

Midfield: overall no surprises save for Pablo, which is a miniscule eyebrow raiser. He's still a great player, but people have just passed him by. Its just time. good to see White though!!

Forward: Id like to say im surprised that Twellman is still getting called in, but somehow i am not :(. What i am surprised with is no Kenny Cooper. I suppose Cooper really, really did not impress Bob Bradley.

    ----------------------Guzan----------------------

    ----------------Conrad-----Parkhurst-------------
    Wynne-----------------------------------Dunivant

    ----------------------Clark-----------------------
    ---Klejstan------------Edu--------------Mapp-----

    ------------Donovan---------Altidore--------------

If Twellman gets so much as a minute during this period, baby jesus clearly, clearly hates us all

Not a bad list but would like to have seen Mullan instead of Mapp. What the hell has Mapp done, but fade in and out of games and make one or two runs. He has been a bust. Tired of waiting on him and giving him chance after chance.

Glad to see Rico Clark was not banned, due to kicking the Fish on the shoulder (do fish have shoulders?)

I am still anti-Noonan. They guy can't stay fit and is nothing to brag about.

Alvarez (U-23 call-up?), Holden(U-23 call-up) , Mullan, Simms, Arnaud, Grabavoy, Olsen, hell even Gaven (U-23 call-up), Ralston, Pablo all would have been a bit better call-ups.

I am finished with Mapp and Noooonnnooooonnnnaaaaaaaaannnnnn till further notice.

Would like to see Rolfe get some playing time and see if we can get him some confidence on the Nats.

agree with most of what you said, and i believe down to my bones at this point that Rogers, Holden, and Alvarez are better choices than Noonan or Mapp. Not happy about it but it makes sense hey are there. If im picking my poison i pick Mapp because he at least shows flashes, Noonan doesnt at all.

another random question, do we assume so close to the Sweden and Mexico games that we may only be having 2 friendlies this offseason??

I believe this is it. I do know in May/June USSF wants to face some teams gearing up for Euro 2008 in Europe.

I hope we don't consider this game with Sweden an "A" international

That I would like to see very much, because those two are the best strikers option we will have by 2010 imo. Also Altidore can play the power striker role, and EJ will play off him I think both do have good pace should workout.

You might be right on TT, but I think TT does deserve his chance he had a great MLS season this year. EJ is still young, and will be given many chances, if he goes to Europe he will get even more caps. Cooper is also someone who could of had a call up, but were you that impress by his first cap? He had a long injury plagued season, and I doubt BB wanted to bring someone who had just returned from injury, and barely played also. Overall I think those that were called should of been given that shot. Maybe not Mapp since he had injury filled season, and he's one that needs to step it up. So much talent, and has yet shown it all each time he plays I hope he gets a move to Europe either this month, or at least sometime soon in the next two transfer.

There is another FIFA date on March 26 but with our U-23 having just played in the quals and other players in the concacaf Champions Cup and MLS pre-season, I would say you are correct.
