It may be a little too little too late, but it is worth shaking things up. Maybe this will at least get the club up enough to avoid regulation.

Absolutely needed. The squad has enough talent to be a mid-table team. It's up to the manager to make sure the squad lives up to it's potential.

There's also the matter of the mindset. Once a team gets used to giving up leads it becomes a mental thing. Something has to be shaken up to break that chain of thought. As the old saying goes, you can't fire the players, so . . .

This also needed to be done before the transfer window opens. Sanchez spent a ton of money. While Hughes, Healy, and Bouazza have done ok most of the new guys have been a bit disappointing and haven't gelled as a unit. Why let the same guy spend good money after bad. If Fayed is going to open the checkbook in January, might as well let somebody new have a go.

Bottom line though, is 3 or 4 wins in twenty some-odd matches just doesn't cut it at this level.

Agreed, had to be done. Performances were getting worse and the team seemed to be losing confidence in Sanchez. Plus, with the bottom half of the table starting to open up a bit, I think MAF was worried about losing too much ground during the busy Christmas season.

With this happening so close to kick-off, it will be interesting to see how this affects the team's performance.

You know, I had this concern as well. And then I realized that the worst that could happen is that they lose, and they have been doing that for some time now. Now, I'm excited to see what will happen. :D

I agree that he had to go.

My picks are Jol or John Collins late of Hibs, an ex-Fulham player of very recent vintage 1998-2003. He did a masterful job with Hibs. Either man would be excellent for Fulham.

This is something I have wanted to happen for a little while now. The reason is the players that he has brought in this summer a just not good, apart from Aaron Hughes and steven Davis. Danny Murphy really has not done much either. I am hoping Mcbride can come back and be a big impact right away because have dried up a bit.

WOW!!! I knew this was coming and the right thing to do. Totally hadnt heard about it until this mornings game. As I was watching I couldnt find Sanchez anywhere, Bigsoccer I went and you guys were all over. 1-1 tie is not what I expected, but good to see Duce with the equalizer. Really wanted 3 points out of todays game.
