FIFA World Cup 2010 Qualifications Third Round: Group A Discussion AUSTRALIA CHINA PR IRAQ QATAR 2 Teams will qualify to the Final Round
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion Hussein Saeed Iraq FA President Announced that Iraq will play in Syria or Jordan, and he will let Egil Olsen to diced between these two countries. I think It's a good move, Syria (or Jordan) are defiantly Better than the Gulf Countries, 1st Syria and Jordan are near to Iraq so the traveling won't be a problem, 2ndly the number of Iraqis in Jordan and Syria, 3rd the weather will be the same as Iraq so it won't affect our players, we don't want to risk it. Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion Well,Mussav, that is a hard group, like everyone can see!It will be hard for all teams. Iraq:Good team, won asiancup 2007,beaten Syria 3-0,beaten Australia 3-1,my respect!!! Australia:reached worlcup round 16 2006,olympic games 2008(but olympic team) China:hard team, good players, gave iran a hard time (2-2)after leading 2-0 Qatar:drawed against Japan 1-1,beaten Iraq 3-2 in a hard fought! So everyone can go through! But my prediction: 1.Iraq,good international experience 2.Australia,good international experience 3.China,can beat big teams, but can they beat Iraq and Australia, maybe i don´t know? 4.Qatar,maybe they can make a surprise? Greetings Syriaman Salam Mussav!
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion I think that AUSTRALIA and IRAQ will qualify to Final Round. Isn't it?
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion China is famous in asia. But, they don't success in big competation. Australia has world class player as Tim Cahil. But, I didn't think the fact of they lose in ASIA CUP. Regard,
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion Iraq, Australia or China whoever wins congrats.
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion Come on now, don't underestimate the guy.
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion It seams you have to face the Gulf heat and humidity I think we will play our Home matches in UAE

Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion This is awful, I'm going to calculate the travelling distance for the Iraqi national team in the last 4 matches: First of all I will assume the starting point is Melbourne in Australia on the 2nd June. I will also assume the home grounds to be: Doha(Qatar), Beijing(China), Melbourne(Australia) and Al-Ain(UAE/Iraq). 7178 Miles from Melbourne to Al-Ain 3341 Miles from Al-Ain to Beijing 3545 Miles from Beijing to Doha Total: 14 064 Miles! All done in 20 days, and this is assuming the Iraqi team are able to camp out in Australia for a while to recuperate before the game on 2nd June. Of course this probably applies to all the teams with slight variations in the distance travelled. Groups who have East/West Asian teams in them will suffer with this schedule.
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion I read on Kooora that we will play against China PR then Australia then Qatar... and they said it's Official from our FA schedule.
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion I still have hope that there will be alterations to this schedule. One thing though June is going to be an amazing football month! This and Euro 2008! I excite! LOL
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion People on kooora talk alot of nonesense..
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion True, yesterday the rumour was Iraq were thinking of planning a friendly against Celtic! Would be great for us in Scotland but seriously, I highly doubt it, seems far fetched to say the least. BTW Pim Verbeek is the new Australia coach, he's going to be out for revenge against us!
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion I assume you don't know that most (If not all) of our journalists, clubs officials, FA officials, Multimedia officials, even footabll players (eg: Nashat Akram and Younis Mahmoud) are members in Kooora Iraqiya.
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion So you have the official schedule?... could you give me the source plz.
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion http://www.fa.org.cn/jdxw/2007-12-05/148953.html Simple translation: Second Game China x Australia. I'm sure the Chinese members can comfirm it.
Re: WC 2010 Qualifications (Third Round): Group A Discussion I'd say yes since its the official CFA website.
