Guy is now starting regularly for the Barca B squad, I don't understand why he hasnt been called up by the U-21 coach Guy levi. Many people think that he is the next Messi.

Where do you get this from? I see on the FCB website, that he plays infrequently for the FC Barcelona B. Are you sure that he isn't starting for FC Barcelona C? The official website generally lists him just as Gai.

I read the Barca youth thread over on xtratime, people who follow Barca and their youth system say he is basically a regular starter for the B team.

No, I don't have a source, I am just guessing he will play for us, I have seen some articles on http://www.sport5.co.il , and http://www.one.co.il , but I go on there to watch highlights I cant read the articles about him, my hebrew is poor, so if you can read hebrew then you might find something on him.

the interview is talking about head coach dror kashtan saying he is continuing with the team and they wil be making other arrangements in december with assistants and stuff...

now for the article which is GREAT!

the title says that guy assulin will play if guy levi wants him to...(guy levi is israels under 21 coach)
coach levi just got back from watching him in a barcelona youth game and said, "this kid is very impressive and has an amazing future ahead of him"
if levi asks gai assulin to play in the under 21 game in february he will play. also gai assulin has no problem with the army because if u leave the country before 15 and live out of it u dont have to go, (something like that lol)
(haha hes modest too) gai assulin says that he would give everything to our national team and that hes only 16 and a half and never dreamed hed be called up to the team.

    GREAT NEWSSSS

How good do you think he'll be?

I know he should be good enough to play in Europe. But can he be a star in Europe? Like a household name?

Is he thought to be on his way to being the greatest Israeli player ever?

Is Gai Assulin cap-tied to Israel from the friendly with Chile? He's been a starter for the U21s in the past 5 games or so.

As a Spurs fan I would love to see them make a move for Assulin. But from an objective standpoint I'm not sure it would be a great move for him. Gio Dos Santos came from Barca this summer and he has barely featured and I believe he is a few years older than Gai. If he does come he'll probably be loaned around for a couple years like Ben Sahar. Even if he does want to leave Barca, he should probably stay somewhere in Spain.
