I'm headed down there over part of Thanksgiving week but I don't know much about the area. Do any of you have recommendations of where to stay, where to eat, what to see, etc?

    Thanks!

there is a little river walk down town(river st) that has plenty of bars and restuarants. Nice little Irish pub on the walk too. They Hyatt west bay st and the Hampton in east bay are very nice and right near the better part of town. the doubletree is pretty nice too and in the same area. Enjoy, it is a very nice little town. this may help

A lot of people will probably tell you to go to The Lady and Sons restaurant. I think it is way overrated, but it might not be in your opinion.

I recommend getting drunk and hitting on art school chicks.

Thanks for the suggestions. Some of them my wife wouldn't let me do though! We had a great time. Savannah is a great place with lots of history and things to do.
