Except with the away goal rule the Houston game would have ended at 90 minutes with a Houston loss and the DC game would have turned into a snoozefest after Chicago's second goal.

KC's biggest weakness is their complete amnesia about how to attack as a team through possession. They were magnificent earlier in the season but they've come almost completely unglued with the ball. While DC and Chivas were slumping they were able to still play close to their respective brands of soccer but KC looks like the Crew out there. Houston should win this game 3-0.

Bornstein has been poor all year, by his standards because I'd still say he was the best LB in MLS even though his attacking contributions declined markedly, but it Sacha was who was not involved in this game at all and that's why Chivas lost.

But they weren't driven by just how many points they had, they were driven by how many points their opponents had as well. So as you said wins, losses, and draws, don't matter points do, and by that measure KC did worse than their opponents.

FYP to be Fred relevant or Olsen, or Moreno, or Gomez. All on the team that brought gamesmanship, time-wasting, persistent infringement in the midfield, and especially complaining to the ref to a whole 'nother level in MLS. I wonder if Ben Olsen wanders soccer fields in the off-season waiting to trip someone running through midfield, kick the ball away after the foul, stand 3 feet in front of the free kick, all while he's dramatically berating the official?

Probably. At least when's not polishing his championship rings. Come to think of it, I think I have seen him down on the Mall tripping up people. Usually Midwestern tourists.
