charley...the moment you posted on our board you became a hypocrite, if you dont know why then there is no help for you.

i dont care if you post here, but when i posted on your board i actually tried to have a reasonable talk...but since you hate yanks you had to say something. and resorted to childish antics befitting a 12 year old.

yes i may be going off on a tangent, but i dont really care...you are on a board called big SOCCER...soccer being what us silly yanks call the sport...whats this mean you ask? oh only that this board is dominated by the very thing you hate, yanks :), cuz in your world you have to live in england to enjoy the sport. get over yourself.

That only shows that Jens is not screwed up at all. He knew what he was talking about. ;) Remember when he said that the England squad would not have the mental strength to go all the way in the WC and everyone was like OMFwearefavourites! And when he said the same before the Wembely match in August? He may sound rude because he says those things with such conviction but he's clever and experienced. Unfortunately he doesn't care that others may not like to hear these things, even more so when they turn out to be true, so he certainly made it only harder for himself to get a chance granted from Wenger. Jens, shut up. Just cackle to yourself if you must.

I just like that after all those photoshopped photos of Cesc, he made had a similar look while celebrating....scoring against those pricks.

Also, I loved how complete and utter sh*it Tevez was!!!! useless!

(then again, ade was kinda, too)

i know!! he made the same surprised/joyous face today!!! I laughed out loud in the bar.

What a great, great game today – I'm so glad I skipped my other commitment to watch it.

    Some thoughts:

    1. Anderson was clumsy all over the pitch – he had his hands on every player he came against to defend. Ridiculous.

    2. I love the shove on Hleb that led to the first United goal. Ridiculous.

    3. I can't blame Almunia entirely for the second goal, though I wasn't thrilled with him being noncommittal to coming out or staying in the goal. The real problem is that nobody tracked Evra (I think it probably should have been Walcott?... need to watch again)

    4. When that last goal happened, I had no idea what was going on. At first, I thought they called a foul on Walcott. Then I thought they were giving us a penalty kick. Then I realized it was a GOAL and we all went crazy in the pub... and there were ManU fans there too, so it was pretty sweet.

    5. Wish we would've brought Eduardo on sooner. I think Hleb works well in the 4-4-1-1, but Adebayor is just so much more effective in the 4-4-2.

Great, evenly-matched game. Can't wait for the next one.

    Good grief, just saw this:

He goes on to say some other crap, too. Maybe it's time for the Premiership to go the way of the NBA and start fining coaches and players for public criticism of referees. There's no reason after every match we should be hearing about how the referee was crap, biased, wrong, etc. from coaches and players – even if they were wrong.

Protect the integrity of the sport. Keep that stuff behind closed doors.

And dang, reading the rest of this interview from Ferguson is making me sick. What a whiny b*tch. It was a great game between two great teams. Fouls were committed. Goals were scored. I just hate reading this stuff after a good game like that.

Eh i thought so too but it looked pretty shoulder to shoulder. In that case it is fair, as long as the elbow doesnt come up.

Really good point. Never thought of it this way. Ade works well with RvP because RvP will drop back and get the ball on the outside, that leaves Ade free to stay in the box instead of trying to do both jobs like he was today. I love Ade and his workrate but he might be limited by being effective with only a certain type of strike partner if a 4-4-2. Again i really feel Wenger should stick with the 4-4-2.

Finally Skizz, yes i did see Almunia run off into no mans land. He did it 3 times too and the 3rd time look what happens. Stupid f*ck almost cost us the game. He is not a big game guy period.

Shoulder to shoulder? it looked to me like he put a hand on Hlebs shoulder and shoved him to the ground.

Wow! What a game. Only negative for me was Almunia. I think it confirms he's dodgy as well. Will we ever get a great goalkeeper?

Nervous the whole night waiting for the torrent to download. Don't think I could ever handle the stress. Wenger has a much stronger heart than me! Webb didn't have a good game, I think. Gave too many small decisions the wrong way (against us ;) ).

Erm was he watching the same game i was?

The first goal... which deflected off Gallas... after a 'foul' by a United player went unnoticed and ended up in the box... and thats good football?

The spirit in this team seems to be something else! I just get the feeling that when I see them, that they are not going to lose. A great atmosphere there. What was it like for those in "Nevada's"? :)

fergies a scottish red nosed idiot, but bothh teams had goals with fouls in the build up

my opinion, 451 diddnt work today, and hleb diddnt come out his shell till the second half, but he was magnificant at keeping posession! ade was coming too deep for a target man, he needs to learn more about the position in a 451 but it works when he has a nother striker to work 1-2s with such as eduardo or rvp

i said from the start we shouldve gone at them at home with a 4 4 2 and when we changed it worked better, attacking wise

theo has to learn about the defensive elements of a rw as he let evra pass him and almunia proved today hes not a number 1 with that horrible rash decision to come out to evra, which he did twice in the game earlier

i thought the 1st half was awful, we looked more of a threat but the man yoo attacks with the grounded crossess worried me

i thought that brazilian midget anderson was rubbish, he did nothing but play act and stir up trouble without showing any signs of being anywhere near cescs potential

i saw rewinder rubbishing clichy in the man yoo boards, are u mad sir? hes solid defensively and a massive attacking threat!! his pace and stamina is immense. if anything sagna looked more error prone today

eduardo needs more gametime to settle in, took a rash shot at 2 - 1 down which he couldve controlled but it diddnt matter in the end

wouldve loved 3 points at anfield and a draw but we still top with a game in hand

fcuk fergie and the idiotic man yoo trolls too

Alumunia does come out too easily and get himself in trouble.

But those moments aside he does seem to have a better mental link with his defenders. There are never any Jens-like moments where defender and 'keeper collide into each other or stare at each other after each failed to close down a defender.

And for some strange reason Almunia seems to handle crosses better.

I was watching the game with a Liverpool fan who came to the bar for the early matches. He was more agitated by Eduardo's wastefulness there than any of the gooners.

    Rubbishing clichy?

The only thing I remember saying about Clichy was that he was better than Evra.

Personally I think clichy is already one of the top LBs in the world, and will be the #1 in a few years.

LOL...yes I noticed someone was flipping him off but I DIDN"T notice it was a woman. I like the reaction of the woman behind her too...

I got to sit in that corner for the Chavs match last year. Man, did they get abused on corners. Hilarious!

The best bit is where he was going on about the Emirates being "unsafe". What an idiot.

Here's the full interview with Sir Red Nose:

    On Howard Webb:

Despite the fact he applauded Howard Webb's appointment last week and also forgot the foul on Hleb for their first goal. But anyway, he went on to moan about the Emirates, of all bloody things...

What about Old Trafford you red nosed twat? How many penalties to away teams? D**khead. Then he took it upon himself to have a good old moan about everything.

Love it. So much for "Arsenal can only play one way" eh?

Regarding Clichy, He often looks dangerous but how many goals has he scored? I noticed a couple of times when he should have pulled the trigger on a shot over the past couple of games. He gets forward well with the ball but he often lacks an end product and loses the ball in the corner. His defending is up and down as well.

Now I am not saying he is poor but he has A LOT of room for improvement. He needs to cut out more crosses and defend the attacling lanes at the corner of the 18 better. His vision seems to be lacking in picking up opposing players making runs from midfield.

He does wonders starting the attack and counter game we play but I feel that at the moment he is at his best in the middle third of the field going forward. His end product needs work as well as his defending. Maybe its the system AW employs. IDK for sure but to label him the best left back in the world is a bit premature IMHO.

That said I wouldn't trade him for Evra, Cole or Abidal. He is one of the top LB's in the prem and has the potential to be the best in the world. He is just not there yet.
