I agree totally. I'd forgotten what a different player Martino was in the first half of the season - really he just seemed quicker to me; and I'd totally forgotten about that sick sequence where we passed the ball up the field and into the net (#1). Rep to scaryice. Is there anychance of getting this clip at broadcast NTSC?

 

That #1 is a great example of what one-touch soccer can do. Let's go into next season with that as our inspiration, and Becks as our example.

 

Scary should be showered with rep for this.

Salvaging any good feelings out of this season is nothing short of raising the dead.

o ok. nvm then. those were pretty good goals. ya i think martino slowly decreased his play. But he's a really nice guy in person and funny so I respect him..I mean the guy only gets 17,000 a YEAR! he shares an apartment with 2 other guys. So he's doing it just cause he loves the game. So I would say he's been playing better than he's worth

OK, I'm new here, so I don't know if you guys are kidding or not. Does Kyle Martino really only make $55K a year??? That's about the minimum you can make if you want to live alone in an apartment in LA. Anything less than that and you're stuck renting a room or sharing a very small house in Palmdale.

And yet, I'm not sure if I'm appalled by the salary or pleasantly surprised by it -- I'm still in shock. I (naiively, evidently) thought that all professional soccer players made bank.

 

About the video, I realize it featured goals scored during the regular season, but I really think Chris Klein's bicycle kick goal in stoppage time during the SuperLiga Final against Pachuca belongs in this list.

no i read this interview with him in the paper and he said he made 17000..maybe it changed since then but it was this year

 

number one was more of a team goal,but klein's rocket was sweet,i was screaming my head of at that game.

 

Me too. Quite frankly, Klein's goal will (I hope) be my only lasting memory of this otherwise-forgetable season.
