I have some questions about their contracts.

Chris will be going into his fourth season as a developmental player. Nobody stays Dev for more than two seasons, right? Usually at that point, they either get a better contract, or go somewhere else if they can. Also, isn't he of age to be too old for a Dev. contract, anyway?

Then there's Stephen. I keep hearing from people who've heard from him more recently than I have, that he's officially on the roster, yet I don't see him listed online. Have they just not updated yet? Is he a Dev now?

I believe Stevie has played some reserve games with Houston, not sure if he's officially on the roster or only as a "guest player" status.

Steve, or Wondo2 around our parts, is part of the roster from what I've heard (from the players). We all know how quickly and accurately MLS updates their sites though. He has played a couple of Reserve games in the defense and has looked ok. We'll know more next year

Wondo1 (Chris) will be entering his 4th year in 08.

So how old do you have to be when you're too old to be a Dev.?

I don't think Chris W. is really a dev. player. His salary is $30,000, which is more than dev. players make. The MLS rosters on the website are full of errors. Richard Mulrooney is listed as a senior international.

Houston has 27 players listed on their roster, so there's room for one more if Steve W. really signed as a dev. player late in the season.

That makes sense. They need to update their website.

And sorry for putting this in the Quakes forum. They're both from the Bay, and I went to school with Wondo2, so it didn't occur to me to put this in another forum.

I saw Steve Wondo play with the Frogs a few times. He's a good-sized, athletic guy like his brother. I wouldn't mind seeing the Quakes bringing both of them back home.
