Anybody know if he was a "Project 40" player, and if so, does that mean MLS is paying for him to go to college (Way back when, I thought part of the deal was that a Project 40 player got their school paid for even after they were out of the league). It's doubtful that he's currently on scholarship.

Maybe I'm getting old and making stuff up. Whatever.

He's pretty far down the depth chart... just like his MLS career.

OSU's first-choice kicker is a Jr. and he's handled all the FGs and PATs. He's also handled most of the kick offs, though the punter, also a Jr., has taken some too and the back-up punter and another kicker, both also underclassmen, have taken some kickoffs, too.

In otherwords, he doesn't look like he'll be playing for OSU anytime soon. That said, big ups to him for going back to school and being on the football team will look good on his resume and, who knows, if he sticks it out through next season, he might get some PT his final two seasons.

He was indeed a Nike P-40, which is the main reason his career lasted as long as it did. Teams could carry him on the roster without it costing them any money and without his salary counting against the cap.

If someone had been forced to actually pay this pile of rubbish actual money, he'd have been done much sooner.

Actually...Aaron Pettrey is their first choice kicker (the one who did most of the duties last year and beat out Pretorius) but he has been injured this year therefore Ryan Pretorius took over the chore this season.
