Here's the options: Fire him now. Let his contract run out. Fire him after the "Victory Tour". Keep him, he's done a great job. What they should probably do is wait til the end of their meaningless tour. The girls seem to be in a fragile state(mostly because of the coach pitting them against each other). Letting the contract run out makes it seem that everything he did was ok with the USSF. If they keep him, we, the united members of BS should ostracise them. Either that or place an embargo on them.
I voted "now", lest incompetence be rewarded. I will also not let him eat with me, although I would like to think that I would like to forgive him someday.
"Now" is the (if he were in the private sector) correct answer, but I marked "let his contract run out" so that I actually have a chance of getting my wish after factoring in organizational inertia.
EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I voted after the contract runs out. No reason to hope for anything sooner. We'll be lucky to get rid of him then.
Only in the real world would someone be immediately fired for incompetence. In the world of US Soccer it will take a while to even get around to thinking about making a decision.
i'd like to think that if they stand united, the defining moment will come when they make a decision on thinking about making a decision. reconciliations encouraged.
the tour is now over. tell him his contract will not be renewed. maybe some college will hire him and save ussf some money, since it is our money. start looking or the replacement, so they can start in january or february.
Let him coach the mens' program at Illinois State, my alma mater (shh, don't tell him they were Title IX'd out until he accepts).
Guess they thot after the "don't let the door hit you in the butt Tour" was the right time. Ding dong, the witch(warlock) is dead.
