So who are they going to drop for Becks?

God I hope this doesn't break up all the good things that have been going on lately.

i know, i really hope they dont rush him out here just to either get him injured again, or ruin this new found team chemistry.. tough decision i think.

Personally I've held off on making a pass or fail vote on frank.

How he handles this will be a big deal.

As he didn't even show up on FFF ... doh@!

Save us from this stuff. The quotes aren't actually that bad, but they make me mad anyway. I've actually really enjoyed our Beckham-off break. I want the guy on the team, but how can you say when he's expected to play when it's been less than 24 hours after his first (restricted) practice? Even if you say it's not guaranteed. Lalas and all of team management needs to just keep quiet until Beckham is ready to go.

Oh, yeah, and just hand him the armband again when he comes on the field, that will make a ton of sense. ::sarcasm::

With all due respect, however nice this run by the Galaxy is in terms of restoring morale, with the exception of about half the KC match, when up a man+, LA has not looked like a team with [good] chemistry. The Galaxy have shown some grit, finally, and have put out players such as Randolph and Tudela who definitely show genuine promise, and Landon seems to be more focussed--all to the good. But, even so, in watching these matches what do we see?
First, the defense still reeks of desperation, often being its own worst enemy [Mr. Roberts being a prime example. Mr. Harden not quite as bad].
Second, the middle is simply incapable of controlling the ball and building an attack. It seems to surrender the center of the flow of the game to the opposition and hope a long strike up to a forward, or a run/strike up the flank, can spring someone loose. Even when two men down, the Wizards were still able to connect with neat passing up the middle and put pressure on LA. That's just not worthy of a serious midfield, guys. [what you guys badly need, to complement the qualities of a Beckham and Donovan, is a defensive mid who can initiate attack. Like Joseph, or Beckerman, or even Mastroeni....no, don't even think of getting your hands on Joseph :D ].
Third, your forwards are truly poor. Gordon & Pavon and Glinton are simply the weakest collection of attackers in the league except for Toronto. When you reflect over the attackers you have surrendered, never mind other squads, you have to think that a trio of Herculez Gomez, Nate Jacqua, David Findley would still be better than what you now have.
This is evident from the last four matches sans Beckham, the ones you are boasting of having "chemistry", never mind from before.
Look, you have many injured players. And as they return you can only get stronger. Particularly, if you can get Xavier and Albright back on defense, to go with Randolph and [?] , with Beckham working with Landon, you will be markedly improved. There will still be glaring weaknesses that have to be, and can only be, addressed offseason--but you will be much better than what you are now.
Again, In the last three matches the tide was turned by the power of red cards in two of them, and at Columbus you were badly outplayed--but then fortune smiled [as happens in soccer]. Results are always good, and it leaves you in a position to at least seriously hope for a playoff spot, but do not confuse those results for a noticeably absent quality of play.
Anyway, hope Albright, Xavier, Beckham all can return soon, and make this end of season interesting. ;)

    What he said:D
I mean, we're winning but don't get carried away. Them same issues are still there, we've just pulled off a couple of results.

IF he is healthy, according to team doctors and trainers (and NOT himself), then he should definitely play. He can only make us better, with his free kicks and corners. His passing is outstanding, and players have already confirmed that his soccer IQ is unparalleled. He must play if he is healthy.

he sprained his knee, he didnt break a leg, 6 weeks is plenty of time to get over an injury like this one, plus his ankle is 100% now. All positives for you guys and him. Good for MLS

the aeg heads are total retards "We are hopeful that he will play a part in our next two home games,"what he really means is "well he can barely walk so lets get him out there"and as for the "But I will tell you right now, if for one instant we feel that either physically or mentally he is not 100% ready to go, he will not play for us nor will he play for England." mainly means "F U C K england he is ours."becks stay home and rest you'll need it for the road show coming up in dec.

Yeah, I think the "...nor will he play for England" part was unneccesary. It can only lead to friction. That's the kind of statement you keep in-house, and not make public. I try to support Lalas whenever I can, but that was truly a bonehead comment, in my opinion.

Yea it was only a sprain. He didnt tear anything. I dont know if his age would hinder the recovery but this is plenty of time.

Your front office is crazy. He needs to sit out for the rest of the season. Training with the team might be okay, but no games for him. Beckham must feel royally exploited, to trade personal health for the wealth of a greedy franchise.

Um in case you haven't been paying attention, we still have a chance to make the playoffs.

I'm with you on this. What the hell is AEG thinking? After losing millions and millions of dollars almost single-handedly supporting MLS, they have the audacity to try to make a profit on his league? How dare them...

Haha, ok, you guys' sarcasm is fine, bc I'm not really a fan. I think it would be funny as hell if he came back and was did some serious damage to some part of his leg, and then would be useless for a looong time. Not that his long-term health is a concern to any of you since in SoCal, all you care about is money... But yeah, give him a few Motrins and throw him out there tomorrow with minimal fitness work and practice and see how he does.

But, there is considerably more money in trying to keep him healthy and playing for a long time than there is in fishing for a quick buck. But, it requires more work. Are the people in the Galaxy FO lazy as well as greedy?
