Here's my question: After the FC Dallas game, does this put Ricardo Clark in the same category as Craig Waibel and Chuck Norris as a fear-striker? :)

You act as if Ruiz got knocked down. he threw himself over Rico with that knee and then still acted as if he were hurt. I would've kicked his teeth.

WTF. this has nothing to do with mexico. be glad that you finally had a USMNT player show some emotion. too much emotion in my opinion but some nevertheless. there are as lot of Dynamo fans that follow Mexico, so unless we're playing leave "club vs country" out of it. learn the difference.

and besides if the Dynamo had a chance to sign Marquez you would turn him down? only one right answer to this, so think hard.

I admire Rico as a player but the first thing I thought when I saw the play is something to the effect of "Oh No!". I was really at a lost for words. I can understand Rico's frustration and pain b/c of Ruiz but in my mind Ruiz is not worth the price that Rico and the team will have to pay. I think a more appropriate response would have been something like, (Rico looks at the scoreboard and says) "Maybe if you played ball instead of fouling, you might not be losing so bad". I am afraid of the reputation hit that Rico now will suffer. I also think that he will be targeted more by other players. And b/c of all of this, Bradley might think it wise not to always include him on the USMNT which would be unfortunate for all. I think the players we have on the MNT the better experiance wise (please call up Stu before Scotland does!). I also think the ref has some blame for letting this escalate to this point ( and of course I hate Ruiz type of play ). At any rate, we will never here the end of it from the Dallas fans. I went to the Discipline page on mlsnet (http://web.mlsnet.com/stats/discipline.jsp) looking for how many games Rico would be out and found some interesting data at the bottom. The Fair Play table is down there and guess who comes in last place. :D

Yes, but even though they are dead last in Fair Play and also have a player that has committed the most fouls, it is because they play hard and the Dynamo are a dirty team.

Consolidated Clark thread (punishment, alibis, support, etc)

So, um, Ricardo Clark might get in a little trouble from the league after kicking Carlos Ruiz, so I thought that as Dynamo fans, we could help Clark out with an excuse to the league as to why he kicked him the way that he did. Remember, the alibi has to be so good that he wouldn't get in trouble for it. :D

To start off, here's a top ten of things Ricardo Clark could say to get away with kicking Carlos Ruiz:

    10) That's normally how we greet people back in Houston.

    9) How was I supposed to know it wasn't a mosh pit? I mean, there was a stage right there...

    8) He claimed his hair was better than mine

    7) There was a mosquito on his arm, so I decided to kill it the only way I knew how

    6) I thought he was taking a nap, so I decided to wake him up

    5) I made a bet with him the night before that I could kick a person in the arm so hard, his face would hurt. I won $20 that afternoon...

    4) He wanted to illustrate how he won an Olympic gold medal for diving, so I wanted to demonstrate how I won an Olympic gold medal in Judo...

    3) I thought he was Kevin Federline. Now that I look back, I don't see any resemblance. My bad.

    2) I thought soccer violence was the only way I could make it onto SportsCenter

    1) Craig Waibel made me do it...

with that gold stripe on his head, Ricardo might have mistaken Ruiz's head for one of those Teamgeist WC balls

He could say that it was divine intervention since FCD themed the game "Faith and Family Night".

-God appeared to me in a dream the previous night and told me that the streak on Ruiz's hair was the mark of the devil. I asked myself WWJD...

I hear the God-fearin' Frisco congregation chucked almost enough water bottles at him that he was nearly forced to walk on water.
