Las Vegas Sun's odds of MLS expansion city candidates: Atlanta 100-1 San Diego 100-1 Milwaukee 75-1 Vancouver 70-1 Cleveland 60-1 Portland 40-1 Miami 35-1 Phoenix 20-1 Las Vegas 10-1 New York 8-1 Philadelphia 6-1 St. Louis 4-1 Seattle 3-2 Hard to believe the odds of Vegas getting a team are 10-1. I think they forgot to add a zero...or two. What do you think?
I find it surprising to see Seattle so high, given that St. Louis and Philadelphia seem further ahead on stadium plans.
The odds seem to be for the team to be in the next 4 expansion cities. Las Vegas for instance is ranked 5th here. I really think MLS should reconsider if the deal available really is as advertised. That stadium/complex could become a real showcase for the league.
I know and all with the exciting plan of playing in a huge NFL stadium with fieldturf and football lines long term. Can't wait.
