    So...we need one of those.
Acutally a striker who managed to score goals regularly would be an attractive prospect as well.:D

Because he ********s up way more than he scores, simply put.

He needs to go....now. He just sucks, along with the rest of our team.

I've had it..no more defending Yallop and Lalas. I want them out and I want them out now. I've had enough of this shit. The only true way we can rebuild now is to get rid of the staff and go from there I'm afraid.

Man, that "Mission Accomplished Agent Lalas" banner you guys rolled out a few years ago is really ironic in hindsight.

Well, another disappointing game, but I don't care, I'll still go to every game, keep on supporting them.

BTW, sweet job by Alexi Lalas, albright, and Jazic on going down to hang out with the riot squad to watch the game, it was a bit disappointing that they was sittining there when Houston scored their 3rd.

Why bother spending your hard earned money watching a junky team play?. Wait until next year and start attending the games only after they start delivering good games. Beckham should be ashamed about collecting so much disability play. They should put a limit.

I thought the fact that they played "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day as we were all exiting the stadium was pretty fitting.

Lalas's life has to be a living hell right now, not that he doesn't deserve it. But he has a lot of guts going into the Riot Squad in the 2nd half with Jazic, Albright & Harmse. He has to be hearing it from the fans.

What to say about the game? The result was expected. The 3rd goal was especially disappointing. Harden saw Cannon charging out & then he & Cannon stopped at the same time, but Clarke didn't stop.

After 70 minutes, the team had nothing left. No energy. Too bad, because a tie was still within reach.

Edson Buddle is the biggest waste of space out there, IMO.

    I'll try:

FY's half time team talk was immediately laid waste by the early goal. Any coach will tell you it is the worst possible time to concede a goal.

    The penalty decision was questionable

While we played very poorly in the second half, a lot of that is down to the first point above. 1-1 after the hour and the result could have been very different.

FY hasn't been able to put out a 'best XI' for months, and the team has hardly had chance to play together and gel.

I've had a go at Cannon before about communication with his defenders. The keeper is the director back there, and he needed to give Harden a shout. Harden should have followed the old maxim "if in doubt, put it out" but again, he thought Cannon was coming to get the ball. Clark showed good attacking instinct to follow the move till the end and was rewarded. I honestly think this is Joe Cannons biggest weakness, while he is undoubtably a good goalkeeper, he doesn't inspire confidence in the back four. You notice it on corners or when the penalty box is crowded, often there is a lot of confusion, and it reached its worst possible extent tonight with Ty Harden.

Hey, was that Ricky Hatton in the box with Beckham?

I know the celebritard spotting isn't really soccer related, but I figured the game thread would generate a response.

And to keep it on topic, that did have to be one of the weakest penalties called this week. Considering the Portsmouth/Liverpool penalty for exactly the same thing was entirely within the box, whereas Randolph did start the foul outside the box. Not to mention the "mystery foul" in the DC United game Weds. Not a good week if you're a ref.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Yep, according to Friday Fight Night on Sky he was due to be in LA as a guest of Becks before preparing to rearrange Floyd Mayweathers face.

It was a poor penalty decision.

Have you been a season ticket holder for years?. It has been three years of bad playing. How many more years are you going to wait. It is too bad they don't have a rule that the last place team goes to the USL and the best team of the USL moves to the MLS. I am sure that there are teams in the USL that are better that the Galaxy.

1>Yeah we lost again, but I came away feeling better about it than I did VS the goats. First off, Cobi and Landon were putting in/taking, some some tough tackles to take control of the midfield. Showed me they still had heart.
    2>Flash Gordon scored again!
3>We might have even taken the lead had Glinton not wasted that golden chance by kicking it like my grandma. Bringing on Pavon in the last 10 minutes helps no-one. A player can't be expected to be tossed into a game so late and change the outcome. But If he had started and taken that kick instead of Glinton, I'm sure Pavon would have scored it and given us the 2-1 lead.
4>3rd goal was teribble. No communication between the players. Probably been the problem the whole time.
5> Not sure what it looked like on TV, but the HDC looked pretty packed to me. Actually I got there late because there was a huge back-up to get into the stadium. Traffic (car) getting in was also pretty bad. Even the grass seating looked packed. Good to see some true fans coming out even at the darkest of times.

Yes there are. For instance, if Seattle and Galaxy had to play right now a home and home series for who would get rights to MLS my money would be on Seattle.

    sorry, forgot this one
6> Ref seemed pretty bad. I know it's the resort of a loser to blame the ref, but that penalty was a weak call for me. Not sure what it looked like on TV but I was sitting close by when it happened. Sure there was contact but it also seemed like Mullan fell over pretty easily.
My overall verdict: Bad, but better than against the Chivas

It was only Glinton's speed that allowed him to get onto that ball in the 1st place.

Exactly. I prefer Glinton over Pavon. Pavon NEVER gets to that ball. I like Pavon's hustle at times, but he's too old now. His services have to be at his foot and he needs lots of space.
