Did anyone else saw the fight that breakout between teammates at lighting delay with chivas and Rapids game. Boy this chivas team can play some awesome one-touch football and you hardly see the ball in the air. I hope they get the cup this year. I loved the RB and Fire game as well last night.
Cancela felt that Mastroeni's recent comment about Canada in Sports Illustrated was unprofessional. He felt that the comment undermined the nation-friendly reputation that MLS has been building this season. He also believed that this statement would only reinforce the negative coverage of soccer by the US media as a racist, violent sport. Words escalated, the GDP of Uruguay was mentioned, and things got ugly.
What the hell?? Am I the only one that is just catching up on this and saying wtf? Why is the fight and tying goal not in the highlight reel? Canada... relevence to the game at hand? GDP...?... can we just say the national team if thats what you mean??? ... Teamates fighting? ... wow.
Not in the highlight because Telefutura didn't cut back to the game after the delay was over. The rest was a joke. No one here knows why they were fighting and probably won't until it hits the papers.
I'm always surprised at how much sarcasm on BS (especially if it's humorous) gets taken seriously. Our culture is losing its precious sense of irony.
I am kinda glad, its more amusing to watch these guys getting their panties in a twist over various stuff.
