    Apology accepted cescfabregas.

I like Paul Breen Turner. I like him better than GOLTV guys but have on occasions noticed what you said. He goes offtopic sometime but I don't really mind it either.

I believe I had misunderstood your positions HDSports as you had mine and I am sorry for that.

Thanks for welcome and that make sense.

It is normal for others not know your previous opinion and feelings on some matter when you're new to a any group or messageboard. This is why, I also did not know your real position and feeling about this til now. I am reading some threads now though and getting to know some of you better. You looklike helpful bunch of futbol fans.

After one week of no club football games I miss and wait enthusiasticly for today's German league game. :)
Then I go shoe-shopping which even more fun :D

    hey futbolover, welcome!
I agree with you(and not just because your one of the few girl posters,LOL), i was pleased with some of the bits of info they had in this match. I mean they actually knew something about the weaker team, and specifically the coach and captain. It helps to paint the picture sometimes when you dont have a clue about one of the teams your watching, heck in some respects it makes you want to root for the underdog more. And if the game stays close, it makes it a better watch IMO.

I know LaLiga is their main thing, but omitting the Sunday BL match in favor of yet another Spanish match... Couldn't they cut one of the Central or South American games instead?
And is it just my DTV schedule that's screwed up and doesn't show the matches for GTV?

I'm very disappointed to lose a BL game if that is going to be the case on a regular basis.

I have an issue with GolTV's matches showing up on my Comcast guide. It always says "Equipos por confirmar" until about a day or so before the match.

They screwed up today's bundesliga match as well by using the in house commentators. The main Euro based bundesliga commentator is one of my favorite soccer commentators, he just does a very good job.

    I agree on all accounts.

Not happy about losing a German league game either.

But opposite of another person, I do at least prefer an extra Spanish Primera in this case instead of one from central or south america.

But let us hope this was temporary thing as you said and not permanent.
Will Schalke vs. Bayern be shown again? I missed it. :(

    Hi 'ECU_SIMMS'

Thanx for the warm welcome and I agree with what you say. Sometimes works like that and makes you cheer for under-dog when you know them a bit and match is still close.

Are you refering about the guy who I think is English and his first name Phil and was commentating the Friday match of Werder vs Dortmund? He's my fav match announcer as well.

He's definitely English but I'm not sure what his name is. He does the majority of the Bundesliga games so we're probably talking about the same guy. I haven't heard much negative about him on this board which shows what a true professional he is if BigSoccer doesn't even complain about him.

Goltv is on the down and is a waste on money if you ask me. No Seria A (on Fax), and no Barcelona or Madrid in their La Liga games.

I don't agree on Goltv's Bundi choice either, a bit or variety never hurts

I watched the spain v latvia game, okay match, The commentary was good. They didn’t impress me like they did with the Liverpool v Toulouse a few weeks back, but It was alright. I liked that they knew a lot about Verpakovskis. i remember the guy being good a few years ago but then you heard nothing about him… same as that colored guy who played for Poland.
I personally did not care about the Ketsbia and Pahars stuff

    BTW

Who was the guy that was doing the commentary for the Valencia v Valladolid match today with Ray? don't think I've heard him before.

To be fair, they don't usually have control over this, if it is La Liga. The La Liga schedule isn't announced until the week of (that is, what games are Saturday and what games are Sunday even!)

For other leagues, you can check www.soccertv.com . But for La Liga, that is something going on in Spain, discussed on other threads.

This may be old news, but I believe Gol TV (at least Gol TV Canada) is carrying Real Madrid games. I believe that there is a game on today live involving Real.

They will have at least one of Barcelona and Real Madrid each weekend, and sometimes both (and they will have the two matches they play each other in).

i love how everyone likes Hudson for his "passion".... which really translates to screaming... or his ooooh...ahhhhs.... not professional AT ALL! if you want real "tidbits" of La Liga... listen to Turner... he is AT THE BLOODY STADIUM.. the man LIVES IN SPAIN... he is not reading this info off the internet..like those twits in miami...

Fox Soccer Channel has at least listened regarding Serie A... granted these guys are not Martin Tyler.. but are miles ahead of the Fox in house guys... kudos to Fox...

There is no reason for me to watch goltv anymore... i rather catch the big games on the internet... i do watch the bundesliga when they use the english feed commentary.. but listening to the miami guys is just bush league.. honestly watch fsc's fanzone... its pretty bad when your commentary team is worse than a couple of british amateurs each week...

I agree too, but I won't go as far as to "boycott" a good match because of the commentating crew.

Unless you're not a big La Liga fan that is and can live without watching a good match from Spain.

Yes, I will watch La Liga regardless of who is announcing.

martin tyler is a jackass, as most of the english announcers are. they know little about players outside of england and even less about players that are not english. I equate him to bryant gumbel, or Jack Buck.
