ok guys im gonna try to make a serious comment now.

la galaxy has the talent to have a good team. you guys have been devistated by injuries this year and its really sad. hopefully next year you will have strikers who are fast enough and good enough to get on the end of a healthy beckham's long balls. london donvan ( as much as i really REALLY hate him) is a great player but cant do it all himself. i would go on about donovan but ill rest it.. he played hard tonight and thats all you can ask.. problem is those other 10 guys on the field werent doing much. IMO you guys need to make changes in the front office.... if it means yallop gets sacked, sack him. it is a shame that beckham is at such a horrible team. he is a class player and he deserves a class team.

Agree. Teams play like they are coached.

Yes...They were playing as a team, we were playing as individuals. Our coaching was vastly inferior. Chivas is a well-coached cohesive unit.

And where has Drew Carey been? Shouldn't he be the dedicated fan leading the march for a new FO?

How about the Riot Squad?...You would think that they have had enough of this uninspired play.

Having a celebrity -- dedicated fan or not -- call for the head of our coach would be awful; truly elevate things to a circus level.

Drew's got more smarts than that. I'm sure if he was asked, he'd give his honest opinion. But fans can speak for themselves.

If he really cares, he'll BUY the Galaxy (Drew and Tom Cruise in a soccer consortium...scary, huh? :D)

As much as I hate Chivas USA, props to their team for showing our ************ heartless team how to play. Thank You Donovan and Randolph for putting an effort. If this doesn't spark a brain wave in Lalas, Yallop and AEG that changes have to be made..then nothing will. We got outperformed, outshot, outplayed and outscored. Who's to blame? Is it April of 08' yet?

OUCH! Let me begin by saying that the Chivas won more than the game, they won the supporters vote. There were at least 5 chivas fan for every Galaxy supporter. Still, props to the riot squad for providing what little pro Galaxy sentiment that there was (Galaxians?). Forget all the player criticisms, this battle was won in the stands. It's not like this is the first time I've been wrong (actually that is normally the case) they just had a better elixir for the derby madness... I'm just as bummed as every other Galaxy fan, maybe more so. Damn, it looks like my derby madness will last until next season.

What team? The common consenus from outsiders (including me) is that Lalas was trying to push and move people around, and Yallop really is helpless witih trying to put the pieces together.

The first touch of almost all your players is awful. Klinnsman couldn't make your team play good enough soccer to be in the top half.

I feel bad for Yallop, hope he leaves for SJ. Same with Donovan. I feel really bad for Beckham. He thought he was coming to do big things, not stuck in a three ring circus.

Alexi Lalas needs to be banned from MLS. Period. He f--ked over us (NY) first, now you guys. His brother is also a f---ing moron too, stating they should have brought in Davies and Hill against Brazil. I think they both suffer from little brain syndrome.

You know if LA was a decent team, with decent ticket prices, with a decent FO, we'd have the HDC sold out every game. We have a great following but years of bad results can thin that out. I havn't gone to a game in 4 months not because I don't want to, but because I refuse to pay $30 to watch a bunch of heartless, gutless ********s try to play soccer. Watching them lose at home is atleast free. Lalas..Get your head out of your ass.

Ok, I"m not a fan of picking up an opponent after you trip him or collide. They're the enemy; leave them be. BUT, i can accept it. However, what I find really annoying, and plain sad and questionable, is the fact that some of our injured players in the suite actually were smiling/laughing while watching the game. As a fan, I had NOTHING to be happy about. I'd be much more pissed and sour if I was an actual player of the team. Beckham, the newest bastard, was more upset than the others. I don't want to hear, "Beckham's not used to the losing yet; losing gets to you to the point that you don't care." Bull!! I want pissed players, damn it!!:eek:

Effin bastards! We never shot on goal! How are you suppossed to win if we never shoot on goal. AH! Talking smack is irrevelant, our team got out played in every factor. The biggest bummer is that after all that shite talking we did about Chivas attendance... THIS was the one game their fans were actually prepared for. No matter how much shite I talked in the stands (I was all alone amiss a gang of goats) there was nothing I could do to remedy the derby madness. Just have to take it out on Houston I guess.

We were completely outclassed. For a team that had to win this game, we were very underprepared. How come we dont even know how to handle set pieces at this point in the season? There aren't any players making runs. We are still way too stagnant and bunched up. Even with Beckham in there it was like this.

Enough is enough. I have sent the following email to Lalas and let's see what response I get.

As a dedicated fan of the Los Angeles Galaxy, it is apparent that the supporters are taken for granted and the desire to make a fast buck has been discarded in terms of profits and the exploitation of one David Beckham. From disbanding the youth supporter group to the inferior product on the field, it is apparent that unless you have mounds of cash, then the opinion is not important.

Mr. Lalas, nothing would be more impressive at this time than for you to take the blame for the inept coaching, the asinine personnel decisions, the poor player trades and he overall feeling that most supporters have, that you and your head coach are both unable to handle the pressure and level of success demanded by the supporters of the Los Angeles Galaxy. You stated that the players would have to handle the pressure of being under the scrutiny of the World once Beckham arrived, but you did not seem to care about before and afterwards. There is no escape strategy, in fact it seems like this team has no strategy at all. The trades and personnel move you have made are beyond lousy and so one-sided against the Galaxy, that I question whether you can handle the pressure? In fact, you have put foot in mouth so many times, and made this team an international laughing stock, that I wonder if you are a man who should be at the helm of the, to quote you, "jewel of MLS." You single handedly have built a track record in the media and among knowledgeable fans, as an inept general manager, a possible figurehead, and when you leave every job you have had, a pariah. Every time you open your mouth, you spew so much double talk and feign sincerity that we have had enough.

Mr. Lalas, it is time to ask you to do the right thing for the team that you claim to be the jewel of MLS. With you at the helm, there is no way on God's green earth that this team can become a jewel. Placing the blame on injuries and not having a Plan B is proof positive that you are not the man for the job, and neither is Frank Yallop as Manager of this team. Placing the onus of success on the shoulders on one player des not make a team. And speaking of players, this is an embarrassing way for Cobi Jones to be shown the door, when he shows each night he can still cut it in MLS. Look, we have a short roster, and even shorter bench and no players of talent in development. We have a group of underachieving underachievers that you have kept on the roster while those we have developed or discovered are making us pay when they play against us and showing their talent and your mistake to trade them.

Bottom line, on behalf of many supporters like myself, I am asking you Mr. Lalas to do the right thing and A. Fire Frank Yallop and B. Resign as GM of the LA Galaxy. 2 simple things that will bring peace to the franchise and show us that you and AEG truly have a commitment to winning, and that you are tru to your word, since all of the promises of Championships & Supporter Shields and teams that are better than last year's team are thrown out the window now. As supporters, we have been patient with inept moves like retaining Sampson, trading away the core of the team and the future for cheap retreads, and not discarding Pete Vagenas. The results we have seen and the double talk we hear is no longer acceptable. This franchise has had it's darkest days with YOU at the helm of the organization.

Do the right thing and darken our door no longer.

For the love of the Galaxy and the good of the game,
    Barry Lightner

With respect to C&C I'm not sure this doesn't deserve it's own thread. I'm so angry right now and it made me so effin angry to watch that on the screen that I don't even know what to say.

I understand that it's a business, and I don't expect them to bleed green and gold or whatever color we decide to wear now, but if they're not going to pretend to play at least they can pretend to care when they're standing around.

Id bet a monkeys uncle that if he responds it will be with a canned response. If I were in his position, with about 5069 of those emails, I wouldnt read them because I would soon get sick to my stomach so I would reply with a canned statement talking about how as fans we deserve to win, we deserve a championship team, but due to unforeseen circumstances this season, we will look towards the future and leave the past in the past and promise for a better 2008 season.

And thats when you send your profanity laced reply, he sends you a virus, you spend 9 1/2 weeks trying to fix something that should have only taken 48 hours. You then try to install linux on your system to fix your problems because youve "heard great things" about linux and are tired of Microsoft working with the Chinese Govt and the FBI to spy on you for sending terrorist letters to (chimes sound here) A L E X I L A L A S. All the while Lalas was JUST ABOUT to send you some free tickets to his next bands concert.

Oh well, better luck next time.

    (i speak from experience)

The worst part of this all is that i'm going to have to hear it all from those other jerks on Cybertron that don't believe in us. Sure the goats beat us (actually they kicked our arse) but that doen't mean it's the end. Screw them, and any one else for that matter. We are still going to conquer the soccer Galaxy. It's just gonna take longer than we thought.

I'm watching the Fifth Element & we just got to the part where Leelu is reviewing "W" in the computer encyclopedia, and viewing all the images of war and man-made destruction, and she's exhausted & devastated & it all seems so appropriate.

(not really - luckily this isn't a real tragedy, just some masochism we're inflicting on ourselves)
