    I'll take it.

Chivas had the majority of the good chances. We were hanging on at the end.

We're gonna be one tired group Sunday against the Rev's.

Talk about a tale of two halves.

I'm going to go to bed and pretend that second half never happened.

Anyone else find the "technical difficulties" right at 1230 (which lasted just long enough to do a set of commercials and a brief news update) a little suspicious?

They need to randomly test some of those Chivas players, I think Preki laced their orange wedges with crystal meth.

Everything was perfect until Perkin's got his punt blocked for a safety. :(

I'm a little stunned by how DC came apart after that. Chivas were clearly the better team from that point forward and given that blown offside call DC are lucky to sneak out of HDC with a point.

ESPN is back high on my shit list.

Not a lot of positives from this game. Kudos to Emilio for his two goals, but everything else was just bad: the unlucky goal, the other unlucky goal, the terrible, terrible officiating (three yellows, all to DC, and a near red...really, dude, you stunk up the West Coast tonight), poor organization in the back, ESPN.

I hope we can refocus come Sunday.

Its great we sneak out with 1 point, sure, however we CANNOT rely solely on Emilio. I had a bad feeling being up 2 nil, and it got even worse once they cut that lead in half. United showing shades of itself from early on this season when it lacked the necessary bite to finish off opponents. If we play like that Vs NE, were screwed and NE will walk out of RFK back in first place.

Hey, hey, hey. I resemble that remark. Now for some of you sending me neg reps, get serious.

Is this the last time at HDC this season? This stadium makes Troy look stupid. And as was the case in the loss to LA in the semifinal of SuperLiga, this stadium is a bad place for us to get in a run-n-gun game. We are not built to play that way and it takes away from what we do best.

I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I've given someone neg rep. Falsely reporting a DC score makes you fully deserving of it.

It could have and should have been worse. Take the point and jump on the redeye out of California. Absolutely pathetic 2nd half. If not for the blown offside call, we come out with nothing. As it stands now, we are up on Chivas by 6 points, with the tiebreaker. Not winning this game made the Revolution a much much bigger game to WIN, not just tie.

The perfect result. ;) I'm just glad I don't have to watch Chivas take the west now.

Please don't complain about the ref. Seriously. The only call that made a difference in the game was the call that went AGAINST CHIVAS in added time in the 2nd half. If Stott doesn't give us any of the cards, and also gives Chivas that one play back, United loses. Enough moaning about a portion of the game that ultimately went in our favor at the only moment that mattered.

What, the million exclamation points that followed was not a clue? I should return the favor but my fingers are clean when it comes to neg reps. Like everyone else here, my TV cut to commercials too.

The good: Emilio and some nice ball movement in the first half. I watched with a Dutch/Brazilian guy who was very impressed.

The bad: Well, the goals were, ahem, well, it didn't make us look real good. Troy giveth and taketh away. Fred seemed to just giveth away this eve. Our second half did not impress.

Truth is: We got 4 points out of a possible 6 from the last 2 games against two of the 3 best teams in the west. We're coming home and I for one am ready to kick New England's ass.

Oh, and the Dutch guy wants to join the Barra.

    See you Sunday.

The million exclamation points are exactly what I'm used to seeing on Arsenal Champions League PBP threads when they actually score. For all I knew you were listening to a radio feed. You fooled me and I don't appreciate it.

Very good point. Getting 4 out of 6 on the road is a good result. Against these opponents, even better.

Trying to create drama where there is none. If only they'd respect the game... there's plenty of drama on the field, no?

Yes, i had read an article somewhere in which Emilio essentially said that he might be ready to go back to Europe.

There was some talk about him wanting a renegotiated contract given his performance this year, and I guess a threat to move on without it. A comment to the effect of, if you look at his resume, you see that he doesn't like to spend too much time in any one place.
