Sadly, this is an improvement. There used to be hardly any ESPN September/October games at all outside Sundays.

Thanks, ESPN(2), for ruining the only MLS game you're broadcasting this week.

And there's only 1,000,000 more games of college football this weekend!!! :D

Everytime the start of a soccer game on ESPN doesn't start on time, a thread like this always happens. And each time I am more and more embarrassed to be a soccer fan.

Mine was sarcastically aimed at those threads, Bucky.

its embarrassing that you get embarrassed over that.
I am embarrassed that i was born in a country that can't stand soccer and that the Indianapolis colts raised a banner tonight that said WORLD CHAMPS. WORLD CHAMPS of course no other freaken country in the world plays that kind of Football!!!

and even if they did, Indy would blow them out.. how many times we have to go over the whole world champion thing that American sports put on there champions.

Yeah, pretty pathetic the drama queens on this board. They are worse than 13 year old girls on the rag. But i guess thats why they are glued to big soccer. they bitch to much to have friends or actually get laid. your average women couldn't deal with the drama and constant complaining about the smallest thing. OMG we missed the first 5 minutes of the game and a goal. ESPN is the worst station in the world. Its hypocracy at its finest. If an MLS game went into extra time and they shut of the game to go to what ever was scheduled next the bitching and drama would reach epic proportions.

Tonight I disagree with you, Zach. Since when does 110 points pose for a Division I college football game? I remember when you used to try to play defense in football.

Thats the most ludacris statement ever. Over the weekend there were two games where one side scored 70 points. it happens.

Italy has its own league too. Some other countries play in college and have basically PDL teams(if futbol to football conversions are allowed).

It happens in the opening two weeks, for cupcake games. LSU -VT isn't going to touch 50 points.

my guess is that ESPN2 had blocked out and reserved about 2 hours of satellite time for this game (to get the signal from Carson to Bristol).

once it struck 12:30 (or was it 12:31) am on the east coast, there was no longer an active satellite connection.

the graphics ("bottom line ticker") were still going out on ESPN2, as those are added in Bristol, but the "game" signal was black, so that points to satellite failure (or time expiration) in my book.

ESPN doesn't hate soccer, they just don't think enough of it to extend the satellite transmission window to cover the end of a game that got pushed back by a late running NCAA football game.

That makes to much sense from a poster on big soccer.. You are now an outcast because you took ESPN's side over your average big soccer drama queen!
