Yeah you could at least in the PC version of FIFA 07.
In 08, you can do so in during manager mode as well.

Did anyone play the FIFA08 Demo??

I read it´s the same as FIFA07. If so, I won´t buy it. FIFA07 is really bad

It's not like 07. First thing I noticed is you have support when attacking. Wingers actually move into space. Give and goes work. That is a major improvement. Graphics seem a bit better. Roster is from 7/16/07 so no Tevez for ManU in the demo. PC version plays nice with the x360 controller for Windows. I'm running Vista Biz.

It's not just the same. The graphics and gameplay are both better. It's not revolutionary, but its definitely worth buying.

Yes they're saying the players' names a lot more. They'll say 'great shot by wayne rooney' instead of just 'WAYNE ROONEY!'. They also say the keepers name when they make a great save like 'what a save by Dida!'.
I like it. They also have a new animation for throw-ins.

I just hope they get Celtic Park on the game, its been requested for a couple of years. I also wish they had more throwback squads, some of the greatest in history.

@ChelseaSupporter: I hope so. I don´t mind about bad graphics as long the gameplay is good. I will buy the game anyway

@Celticmanu3: so do I ;) Celtic Park is the 2nd largest British stadium (after OldTrafford). It should be in the game

I finally found a source for "Rest of the World" teams for FIFA 08:

Bummer. No Russia or Ukraine teams... :( Those World XI and Classic XI teams look real interesting, though.

world XI is fun to play with as is the classic XI but, i would rather see country by country classic teams - unless fifa would be forced to pull a pes/we and change all the names...(Maradona > Maauhnana or somthin...Baggio > Red Baron...lol) then i prob would not want to see the generic names...

And some great news too! A lot of it is disappointing, but the inclusion of Holland, the new additions to manager mode and gameplay are all great. Hooray for self-advertisement!
