as for the competition...winning eleven released some new pics...
    http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/775/775498/imgs_1.html

    i'll say that:
    1. The crowd looks bad
    2. The players look only a little better than last year, but still too plain imo
    3. Still no licensed artists for music...it does have a pretty deep selection that can be customized tho...
    4. I don't think I have ever seen a 10-man wall...it might be a mini-game tho...the players' animations do look pretty good...
    5. The players giving autographs and doing press conferences are cool...
    6. There's a pretty deep in-game menu screen...that screen showin the manager and bench is cool...the game has refs and linesmen in the game - unlike fifa...
    7. Shirt-pulling is in the game - unlike fifa - pretty nice
    8. Damn, it shows fans in a bar watchin a game...then it shows fans being mad after a team loss - probably outside of the bar...Also it shows the fans being important in something called "PES United"
    9. Updates about conditioning is there...FIFA 08 will have something similar...
    10. A pic of a man was imported to the create-a-player and it looks deep
    11. The subs/reserves come off the bench to celebrate a goal/victory with the on-field players...
    12. Lots of pics from outside the stadium...prob will be part of some cut-scenes in the game...
    13. Goalie comes up the field for a corner in a late situation...just as FIFA will do...
    14. Training includes the free-kick things that act as a wall (no idea wat they're called)

Winning eleven is looking VERY deep (as usual)
Hopefully FIFA's new features can overcome these things...

It's still possible. Since Dynamo were in PES, they're open to licensing, and could be in FIFA. We'll just have to wait and see until they release a ROTW list, or more likely when the game comes out.

At worst, you'll probably be able to play as Dynamo in PES again.

Disappointed to see that Everton are playing in the "Estadio Des Artes" or what ever it is called. It is a great stadium but it is so unrealistic for many clubs, especially in England. I was really hoping they would add a lot more generic stadiums to the Next Gen version.

yea i hated having to play in stadiums that look nothing like home stadiums.....like Werder's stadium in the ps2 version of 07 was literally what looked like a division 2 stadium with 20,000 capacity....and on the Xbox 360 if it wasnt a really well known stadium, you played at the Estadio Des Artes

Yes the Bremen situation on the PS2 is ridiculous for what is such a big club. That stadium looks like Italian foothills, not northern Germany.

Are there going to be different commentators for different versions this year? I love Martin Tyler, but Andy Gray is lame. Clive Tyldesley is awesome.

This game is going to be SO good. I'll buy both, but I have high hopes for FIFA this year. Those player models are awesome.

Yeah the demo does have some problems, sometimes there are random camera flashes in the middle of the field. I'll probably still buy it just for the Be-a-pro mode though and a couple of changes. The graphics have improved slightly, mainly players' faces. Sometimes the ball physics seems a little off too. Next gen version will probably be better.

450mb download started now.. which wouldve taken 6 weeks on my old 300 baud modem..

anyways, we'll have to see how it looks. unfortunately, i may have to buy an xbox 360 just to play this game.. is that sick?

I don't think it was worth it. It look amazing though. I've never played the PC version before, so I found the gameplay a bit rough (probably because I suck at the PC version).

    Just played it.
The graphics are wonderful, crossing is harder, shooting is harder, and my defenders were better at tackling. Heading was more realistic, and the commentators say the players names more. That's mostly my observation.

Can't wait until the actual game comes out!
