I wonder if Pachuca would have worn black arm-bands if Michael Harrington died on the field last week.

    Just wondering.

Does anyone know--are all the MLS teams wearing them? Or was this just a Galaxy decision? And is it only for the one game?

Pachuca wouldn't have been allowed to cover the 100 or so sponsors on their shirt.

He wasn't being a douche. All you have to do is google it. The question didn't require a thread all it's own.

I wonder if Passback Pete were to drop dead if Real Madrid would be wearing black armbands.

    Just sayin'...

How are we connected to Antonio Puerta again?

Beckham played in La Liga. Wouldn't be surprised if he suggested the good natured gesture. He no doubt knows Sevilla players, possibly knew Puerta. It was a nice show of sportsmanship.

That, and it's handy for mourning the death of our season.

    You're the douche.

Explain how you would google this.

Here are the results to a google search of "galaxy black arm band"

Anyone familiar with Google search knows that you get better results when you put a comma in between.
Try searching under "galaxy, black arm bands." 4th result.

    I rest my case.

Another pre Beckham 2007 Big soccer member handed his arse by Itsakitnotajersey. Next!

Who cares if they would or not? We did. Our connection to him was that he was a footballer who suffered a fatal heart attack during play and we felt that was enough to honor him. I'm glad we did it.

yeah. why does the Galaxy have to be associated with him to honor his death?

It was a tragic death that shook up the football world this weekend.

I thought it was a great move on the part of the Galaxy.

so i am assuming the galaxy will also be wearing armbands now that an israeli player died yesterday as well during training?

or does the ability of the player determine if other teams mourn? or the nationality? or the fact they died in a match?

seriously... i am sick of all this armband crap. it's tragic puerta passed away. but let the mourning stay in sevilla and with people who know puerta. otherwise it just feels so artificial imo.

    Lol, good one. Seriously.

No, I am just tired of all those pre Becks Galaxy fans who try to put down the new supporters. I've never seen a fanbase that actively tried making people not want to associate with them. Not all of them are that way, but there are a few vocal members of that club. You know who you are. Mister "I am going to still wear my gold Cobi Galaxy shirt to the matches to prove that I supported them when." :D

I have to agree. You're the one acting like a douche in this instance.

Why not just answer every post with a "Why don't you just Google it, you douche!"

Talk about a Douchebag calling the Douchebag, "Douchbag."

    4. Beckham's ankle
    5. Beckham's knee

Not that it matters to me but...

Wouldn't a "douchebag" be something that most young men would kinda strive to imitate?

Just thinking there must be a better put-down.

    Douchebags.
