Anyone else noticed the influx of collars? The Galaxy and Rapids added one this year and now Chivas, the Revs and the Crew will all have them next year if these pictures are in fact their shirts for next year, however I don't think they're real. Only the Houston and Dallas ones seem legit.

the crew is the only good one, but they all gotta be fakes, those chivas ones are terrible.
i think in that dc united would look good with a red away shirt. but really agree, that the mls should have more than just adidas, nike, puma, and umbro are all great

I agree. That was ridiculous. Someone over at Los Angeles seriously needs to give their head a shake.

    How original.

All of these jerseys look to be amateur Photoshop jobs anyway...the only explanations for me could be a) adidas just floating the general concepts out there to get a public response before pushing ahead with the design or (more likely) b) someone with way too much time on his hands.

    No it didn't. :D

I would guess that since United's was a fake, the rest of the ones Jade posted are as well.

Actually, Chivas does have an alternate to the red/white.

Those all look like knockoffs, as stated. If they aren't, then they remind me of old kits from the 90's - they absolutely suck. They are all cookie cutter, and cookie cutter ugly at that. But, I won't get too worked up since the authenticity is beyond questionable.

Reason #251 why MLS has 'arrived' in 2007. Fake jerseys.

Knock-offs have been floating around for at least 10 years.

The more you post, the more I agree with some of the scum fans who are completely disgusted with you.

As for people asking why we can't have other jersey makers, MLS has a long-term deal with Adidas. I don't know the exact terms, I think it was 10-12 years or something around that. I really don't care enough to look into it.

Wasn't it something like a 10 year deal signed in 2005? So MLS teams will be wearing Adidas until 2015.

All the Puma/Nike/whatever lovers need to get over it or jump off a bridge.

Well, I just meant that since the contract isn't going to change, they need to either accept the Adidas jerseys or put a sock in it. No one wants to hear whining about a deal that is set in stone for 10 years.

The lack of a team name on all of them suggests sponsors are in the offing....

I think all the teams will have shirt sponsors by the start of the 2008 season. It's big easy money, even if it doesn't look very cool.

I wouldn't read too much into that. These are just samples/mock-ups, with neither sponsors nor team names on the front. Notice that the teams with sponsors don't have anything either.

That's one of the worst Photoshop jobs ever. You can see the current uni's "thumbprint" through the white layer placed over the shirt.

not a photoshop job, actually (unfortunately?).

It's the same sample template used for the alleged 08 Revs and Fire jerseys.

Don't you all know that the Hmong are famous for making cheap (and by that I mean poor quality) immitation clothes? I bet Jade made those photoshops and is the front man for trying to push this crap on us, all the while her uncle "Kai" has a sweatshop going 24 hours a day with four year olds doing the delicate job of sewing on of the stars above the shield. Just wait she'll be putting this in street vendors in Chinatowns all over SE Asia and it will be coming to the US soon.

IS this why you posted all these fakes? To make THIS point? I think you have too much time on you hands.

    I agree!

All the other manufacturers also make cookie-cutter jerseys. The only difference if they don't look like Adidas cookie-cutter jerseys. But line up a bunch of Umbro, Nike, Puma, Lotto, kappa (and so on...) jerseys and there isn't much variation there either.

Wow. If that DC shirt isn't photoshopped, it's just one of the worst design decisions ever. I'm certainly no expert, but white piping on a white shirt? Could that be more arbitrary? What's the point?
