    Va Tech 5
    Clemson 2

Didn't see that score coming. According to live stats, VaTech was up 3-0, then 3-1, 5-1 and finally 5-2.

Looks like an exciting game with (20/16) shots with keepers making saves (8 & 6) plus lots of corners for each team.

It was definitely an exciting game. There is a recap at HokieSports.com. The score actually could have been worse. Nyarko was well wide right on his second PK, a goal was called off for off-sides, and wood was hit a couple times. Clemson got down and Tech had their way with the Clemson defense. It was obvious Clemson was frustrated early on and I was surprised more fouls weren't called and cards weren't handed out. At times, Clemson's skill players tried to be a little too cute and did not finish and that cost them on a couple occasions. The Clemson goals were a result of bad defensive lapses. One was a result of an obvious foul in the box resulting in a PK and the other was not clearing the ball in the box. I expect Drew to be the 'keeper for the remainder of the season. Tech is beginning to look a lot better defending corners and clearing the ball. They still are not a team that plays in the midfield although Clemson did allow them to. Long balls for Nyarko are all a couple defenders know. Clemson-VT has made for some good matches the past 3 years.
Now I can only hope DC beats Chicago with the same result

I guess since Clemson is the first home game for Tech this year that bump was appropriate.

On second thought, no, no, it wasn't.

Anyways, the Hokies have quite a few new faces(including 3? Germans, 2 Canadians, and one Englishman) that will be impact players in the ACC and defenses will be hurt putting everything into defending Patrick Nyarko.
