He just needs to get comfortable with the Portugal jersey on. After a few games under his belt he'll be just like when he's with Porto. The problem when he comes in as a sub is that he is usually put on when Portugal needs a goal so he tries to do too much on his own.

Nani really needs to work on his crossing and his shooting, granted he scored a nice goal this weekend but his shooting isn't the greatest.

Simao hasn't had a big game for Portugal in a long time. I don't see how he's a better option.

In the end I think Simao, Ronaldo, and Quaresma are locks on the NT for a long time...Nani might make it, but he's able to play in the middle and with his horrible crossing maybe it's better for him.

Where was that, I didn't ctach it, or was it only on FCP TV.
He didn't do crap, except take out Veloso, and as for the previous game had Paulo Santos been in goal, no goals (2 frangos com penas e tudo).

His Nt exibitions have been nothing short of pure crap. So I can see Nani on the right, and CR on the left, or vice versa.

Ok let's bench him, or better yet does MU have a B team.

Whoever said that Simao hasn't had a good game for the NT in a while has lied.

Simao has had some great games, but he is rarely the one to shoot, and therefore less likely to score.

Yeah, Simao performances haven't been bad. They have just always been solid and do the job. For example against Mexico or the Friendly against Brasil.

In regards to Quaresma, unless he starts, I am against him coming off the bench. I would rather Nani come off the bench then Quaresma.

Personally, even though I have yet to see Simao in club action this season, I would love to see a Ronaldo - Nani wing partnership with Simao coming in as a sub. Sorry Quaresma....

Quaremsa hasn't done much for the NT. There has been a spark here and there, but he gets upset when things don't go his way and then fades. Scolari said and I quote after his one and only exceptional performance "Eu hoje vi o Quaresma do Porto, e esse Quaresma que eu quero a jogar para a seleccao."

Nani didn't play the last game because he was playing for the U21 - that is why Quaresma was playing. I don't think Simao and Quaresma are shoe-ins for that position. I expect that Nani will contest it and if he plays well - may just very well take it away from either of them.

Quaresma is too much of a showoff for the NT - same can be said about Ronaldo, but we see results of his hard work, can't say the same for Quaresma. Nani did an excellent job coming off the bench when he played and played with his heart - Quaresma coming off the bench does not play well - he plays well when he starts and then gets replaced early in the second half.

I think Nani will be a starter really soon. Scolari likes the kid and is not being pressured to put him in. He's always under oressure to put in Quaresama.
We haven't seen any pressure on Scolari to put in Manuel Fernandes.
We haven't seen any pressure to put in Quim.
We haven't seen any pressure to put in Mountinho.
We haven't seen any pressure to put in Nani.
In my opinion all of the above deserve to be put in - so why all the loud calls for Quaresma. (He's shown to us what he can do, he has been given the chance - how many more chances does the guy need.)

Now let's put some pressure on Scolari to put in Nani.

    Ronaldo - Nani - Simao
    Nani - Simao - Ronaldo
    Simao - Ronaldo - Nani
    Take your pick...

I love all of you guys, that would like to see all these players on the field at the same time. Just remember there is only 1 ball on the field, and tell me who is going to recover balls in the midfield and who is going to play defense.

A coach has to put certain players on the field with different characteristics. You can't put 10 similar players on the field, it doesn't work like that.

You will never see Simao, Quaresma, Nani, Ronaldo on the field at the same time, it just wouldn't work.

    Not enough positions...:p

Yeah, 4 of the 4 would not work. I can see 3 working though, with anyone of Quaresma, Nani, or Ronaldo taking Deco's spot....

Well, if u want to put things that way, if one takes Deco's spot then we may well see the four of them if one becomes a wandering forward.

Of course, that will never happen.

Oh my god, then you'd be hoping for Petit to make the defense midfield connection.

Never, you have Veloso in there with Manuel Fernandes!

    I have a dream....lol

Maniche still deserves a spot ahead of manelele.....i hate to admit it:(

I think this is our best 11 when all are in top form

    ----------------------Ricardo---------------------------
    -------------Carvalho--------Pepe/Da Costa/Meira/Andrade-
    Miguel--------------------------------------------Bosingwa/Antunes
    ------------------------Veloso-----------------------------
    -----------Maniche/Fernandes--Deco------------------------
    Quaresma------------------------------------------Ronaldo
    ---------------------Almeida---------------------------------

Nani is a superb option to have off the bench to run at tired defenders and simao is perfect to use when we need to defend and counter attack with a lead, and plays his best like that.

We have so many options in some areas, but a bare cupboard in some others.

centrebacks if all are fit will be a amssive ehadache, as well as wingers and centre midfield.

Tiago is simply horrible, imho no place on the ntl team, even in juve he is sucking immensly.

Great performance again from Nani, penetrated well took a few shots, and assisted Saha for MU's lone goal.

Andershow started, but was no show.

A very good showing again by Nani. And I agree Anderson looked out of place and did next to nothing.

He must have spent all of his energy in Ronaldo's orgy party.

It might have been, since Cristiano was suspended, I'm sure he had no qualms about partying the night before.

You honestly think MU don't concentrate the team before a match.

Heck, even in Portugal it's a common thing.

It was the night of the Manchester United win against the Spurs, apparently.

Damn if that boy can't recuperate his forces in a week (better yet a day), he doesn't deserve to be playing pro ball.

Not the night before...the night after the win. So the game was at like 7 and that party was probably at like midnight or something.

Apparently, the two girls that were a part of that orgy, got fired. I really don't see a problem, they celebrated a victory in style.Though, Ronaldo made the smart choice hiring an escort service as oppose to finding sluts at a club who probably will cry rape the next day!
