I hope we have plenty to write about, I hope Benayoun gets some time playing Aston Villa today and Ben-Haim might start against Birmingham. Sahar scored two goals against Fulham see we will see what happens this season.

Im not to worried about Benayoun at Liverpool, he will get plenty of playing time.
We all know about Rafa's rotation system, so its not suprising that he didnt play today. He will play next game.
One thing I am dissapointed about though is Jermaine Pennant. To choose that lump of unskillful garbage over the likes of Babel and Benayoun is beyond me. He has shown nothing to justify a starting spot, much less a spot on the Liverpool roster.

After the disappointment of yesterday, e.g. Benayoun and Sahar not even in 16 of Liverpool and QPR respectively, the good news today is Tal Ben Haim starts for Chelsea vs. Birmingham and Daniel De Ridder is on the bench for Birmingham.

Is Benayoun going to be at least on the bench vs. Chelsea? and did he play in their mid week CL game?

I doubt if Benayoun will play against Chelsea, he didn't play well against Toulouse in the Champions League Qualifier and he hurt his wrist.

Dont worry about yossi. He just played last wednesday vs Belarus and im sure he is playing on tuesday vs touluse. Once Liverpool gets some injuries to their midfielders (Riise, Pennant, etc...) then Benayoun will get some more playing time. And Ben Haim its nice to see him starting for now.

Ben Haim is a horrible defender, is too slow and commits too many fouls

thanks for that extremely insightful comment.
I guess Chelsea had no idea who they were signing, or maybe they knew he was horrible and slow and commits so many fouls and they wanted to link him up with Cole and Terry to create this super defense that other teams in Europe will admire.

Have you ever thought about becoming a scout, I know Middlesborough and Leeds are hiring, you should really think about it.

Actually Ben Haim is a back up to carvalho and Terry... And he was bought on a free transfer... he sucks.

he is not that horible or slow. just torres is super fast striker you know. its very hard to stop him.only hige levels defenders like terry or ferdinand can really stop him. and he isnt supposed to be hige level defender becuse he only subtiute player who came from bolton. so for a subtitute player he is ok. more then boularuz last year who chelsea lost many points becuse him. for now they with 9 points from 12 so he not that horible like you say

we know he is a backup for them. you the one who dont understand. he mean that if he was that suck he wouldent come to chelsea. and he is a good backup. becuse meanwille they dont loosing points. only in anfield. and he is good as a backup player. sure he not better then terry and carvhalio. players who play for big teams for years. he was very good last year in bolton. played almost in all the game. and sure in chelsea its different level. but still he not suck like you say.

and he only a somting like a month there. its take some time until you know the team. he only 25 so probaly he will get his place more 2 or 3 years. in bolton he also was backup in the first year when fernando hiro was there. but then a take is place

Free transfer or no free transfer, Chelsea did sign him and they are paying him quite alot of money to play.
Last year during the January transfer window, Chelsea was trying to get him as well, so they were willing to pay the transfer fee.

Its funny how people bash on other players and say they "suck"
If you know so much about football, then why is Ben-Haim currently STARTING on one of the best teams in Europe? Why did Chelsea sign him then?
Apparently you see something that professional scouts dont see, so pls explain how he "sucks".

Benayoun was Motm today imo, watched the whole game setup so many chances for crouch and kuyt, should have been 6-0.

Sorry to break it to you, but even great teams make bad signings. He is intended to be used as a sub and was a free transfer, so its not like chelsea was falling over themselves to get him. And in regards to Chelsea's manager skills, they just sold one of the best left wing players in Robben, so they are not free of making mistakes.

Re: Benayoun, Ben Haim, Sahar, English Premier League 2007/2008

but why you say they made a bad signing if. for now in the 4 games he start they have 9 points from 12. and only in anfield they loose points. and again. its very hard to stop torres only hige levels defenders can deal with him. last year when chelsea had injpories and they played with boularuz they loose many points becuse of him. for now they are okay. you say he is suck to us. and we know him. so we know how player he is. i sew chelsea games until now he was fine. maybe exept from the game against liverpool when he dident stop torres.

and thats good he commits many fouls. becuse fouls stop the game. so its good thing for earning time.

and he only 3 years in england. he dosent have exprience like terry and charvalio and alex. who played in champions leage in big teams.

No one is comparing him to Terry or carvalho. That would be ridiculous. He is not a reliable defender, and I have seen plenty games of his to make my decision. And why do you keep bringing up Boularouz? No one is trying to compare them two except for you. Neither player deserve to have a Chelsea jersey on, and that's all there is to it.

i compared it becuse bularuz was chelsea backup player last year. so im tell you the diffrent between them. chelsea lost many points becuse of him. and now they dont.

Terry or Carvalho would have gotten owned by Torres as well if they were in the same one on one situation like Ben-Haim was. Terry & Carvalho arent exactly these all mighty defenders. Ben-Haim is a big body, very, very strong, maybe not the quickest player, but he knows his position well and is a very smart defender. The only reason Ben-Haim didnt transfer to Chelsea last season is because Bolton wouldnt let him go. Big Sam was hoping he would come with him to Newcastle. He was a player that a few teams were going after. What the hell are you talking about, you dont know anything about the player, sounds like you dont know much about football either.

It wasnt a mistake to sell Robben, they made a great financial move for £24.5 million, and Real Madrid over paid for him, but thats just the way the market is right now, it very inflated at the moment. Any team would have done the same if they were offered that amount for Robben. Its not like Robben was making the difference at Chelsea, they will still contend for Champions League and Premiership title with or without him.

It should also be mentioned that he wasn't terribly keen to hang around Stamford Bridge much longer, so selling an unhappy player also makes good sense.
