That's the first time I'd heard of anyone deciding to move to a new city based on a 2 minute youtube cip.

    Couple of points

    1) Toronto has some of the hottest women in the world.

    2) BMO field attracts some of these hot ladies. The one sitting beside me last night and for most home games is one of the hottest and she is also my wife.

Life is good in TO, we have hot women, a great city and MLS soccer. Life is good.;)[/QUOTE]

You guys had me going for a minute there. Are the women in Toronto really that good:confused:

If you like them trashy, cold and pretentios,go to Toronto.

If you like them relaxed, friendly and healthily good-looking,go to Montreal.

    Trust me,Feno.

You live in freakin LA goddamit!!! Stop making it sound like there's a shortage of hotties where you live or something.

If you don't stop, I'll have to come out there and round up a few that could keep you busy for the next decade.

Pull the other one hippy boy, there is nothing "wannabe" about Toronto supporters. You don't even have the best supporters in the USL! Montreal's attendance kicks your ass and so do their supporters. So blow away little man

    Hardcore fans != overall attendance

Montreal has a nice little support group but it's at best 1/20 the size of the Timbers Army, who were at about 1,200 last Thursday.

And I'm wondering, why did you call Intru hippy boy?

Overall attendance does not tell you anything about a team's hardcore fans. As we all know, all of our teams have these family type and soccer mom type fans. Then there are those who go just to see Beckham. Then there are those who wear the shirts of the teams from around the world that they REALLY root for. There are also fans who yeah, they consider the local MLS team to be theirs and they really root for them. But you get the idea that they don't bleed for their soccer team as they would for their baseball or football team. I'd say that the average team's hardcore fans are the supporter groups and maybe a thousand fans total in the stadium. Some teams have more than that and maybe some have less.

    LMAO @ Portland “Timbers army”

Sounds like some house league soccer team name.

    Who are ya?!

No one outside USA even know you guys.

I can’t believe these USL fans comparing themselves to MLS fans (Toronto FC fans at least)

20,000+ Hardcore fans > 1200 hardcore USL fans.

As for the hardcore fan question, I think 10%-15% MLS fans can be considered hardcore.

Frankly, the whole question is kind of stupid.

I don't see anyone worrying about how "hard core" the fans are at an NFL game. Trying to separate people like that is useless.

If they care enough to come to a match, that ought to be good enough for you.

since i come from a small town and country where we breath and dream soccer, or an actully watchin madrid and boca jrs games every weekend, im used to watch fans goin out of control. Of course winning and playing attackin demolotion soccer gets fans like that.

Toronto fans are something special. I was not just impressed with the little video clip, i watched their last game. It really didnt look like an MLS game, i though it was bayern munich or livepool playin, the stadium is packed and the fans doin the real thing. thats somethin MLS have always been missin.

Even in the days of Diaz Arce, Cienfuegos, Etcheverry and Donadoni it was never crazy like that in MLS. idk about the Pele days. But the fans in Toronto are great to watch.

I saw some of the Pele games in New York or Real Madrid when they come to play in the US. Bunch of soccer moms or golfers talkin on their cell phones instead of watchin the real game.

Hands down to Toronto. The team is not even that good. But the fans are amazing. I guess I gone have to baptize the TFC whatever they call themselves as the "coolest" MLS fans.

Not just cool, too cool. Oh yeah and I will be going to a Toronto game soon, i have friends somewhere in there.

    Peace

I can't believe you just compared anyone in MLS with Sudkurve. It's like when people say Chivas LA had atmosphere of a superclassico lol

Remember though people outside the US/Canada only know about TFC because of golden balls and judging by all those empty seats that are starting to appear at BMO I think it's obvious that TFC's "hardcore" support falls a fair bit short of 20,000.

Wow, just wow. Sheer idiocy at its finest.

And for the record... I knew of the Timbers Army before TFC even existed.

    No "Cheers!" for you!

As a Seattle man, it grieves me to say this: Portland fans bring it (and bring it hard) for a second division team.

Toronto couldn't be bothered with the Lynx.

    Huh?

Umm there were 20,000 people at the game.

    http://toronto.fc.mlsnet.com/scoreboard/game.jsp?match=08252007_DCTOR

Also keep in mind that there is a waiting list for TFC season tickets and I doubt people on the waiting list are your typical average fans. Last time I check the number, it was 5,000 people (the list is still growing) on the list. So far, there are 14,000 season ticket holders. So yeah it is safe to say there are a lot of hardcore fans in T-dot (Toronto).

Toronto FC is popular among to some hardcore footy fans in UK even before Beckham signed to LA. In fact, I didn’t find out about TFC until last year when one of my friends in the UK mentioned Toronto FC to me.

I was simply stating the truth.

I am sure that your average hardcore footy fan from Toronto doesn’t know anything about Portland Timers army. And I don’t care about your “cheers”. :D

TFC sucks! Why aren't there more soccer moms and little kids at the games.
So if the ''greatest'' fans in North America ''TFC fans'' started going to Lynx games they would no longer suck?

Of course Toronto FC is going to suck in their first season. Unlike Lynx, Toronto FC has some quality to their game.

USL sucks in general. Watching USL game is no different than watching a pick up soccer game at your local soccer centre.

Funny, I didn't consider or even implied that TFC are greatest fans in North America. I just consider them to be better than Portland Timber army fans though.
