    Some points for today :

-We did not have Domizzi and Cannavaro. I thought before the game we could have managed without them, how wrong was I.

    - Hamsik was our best player today. Had he nailed that shot that hit the post, it could have been a different game.

    - Savini was a disaster. He's just not cut out to be a left back in serie A. We played him last year on the wing because frankly we had no one else. He should be only used as a sub for either Canna or Domizzi. Rullo would have been a better option since he has serie A experience.

-This team should look to the market for a good left back of experience. Right now i can't think of anyone that would be good.

-Reja took off Calaio too early

If I were them id be looking for a centre back, because from the looks of it we cant manage without canna, which is no good because he will pickup a few suspentions this season due too the role he plays. And by the looks of it a winger is also needed. If Napoli were smart they would also notice the Di Natale did not play today, there is turmoil with him in the Udine camp, they should take advantage of that. Maybe even pick up Giampa for some depth on the wing.

I think i read that Di Natale reconciled will Udinese. but you're right, he would help us big time. But i don't think Udine will give him up

Reja really needs to shake things up, that defence was the best in Serie B and now it looks like shit, Udinese next week are going to tougher than Cagliari too, I fear next week

I think that you typing that just sealed the deal. We (Fiorentina) will surely get Di Natale now. ;)

Udine didn't look too impressive today. Even though they were playing Inter, they had 1 man up and didn't make many chances. The goal they scored was an own goal by Cordoba.

Also Marino just said that he would be in Milano this week. When the reporter asked for what, he replied "to stay vigilant on the market".

I think he's going to make a bid for Cesar

Milano is where the Italian clubs meet to make their deals, though, so it could be just about any Italia-based player.

Yeah you're right. But we have an obvious left flank problem, and we've been linked to Cesar all summer

Its only one game though... Inter fans probably thought Udinese would be 3 points in the bag too. Napoli haven't been in the league for most of the decade afterall, perhaps a little time is needed to get back into the swing of things... either that or sack Reja and get Lippi a cigar.

If we cannot beat cagliary at home how will we stay in Seria A?

After 6 years back we lose to them in San Paolo.

Reja should be sacked immediately. he guy is not Seria A material. In all his years as a coahc he has been there twice and both times relegated. Against whom will we pick points? I hope this season won' end like the 98 one.

What a depressing start after so much anticipation. I am very depressed.

Next week against Udinese will be very tough, if we lose we will be in the relegation dog fight after two matches.

    Your DataSport ratings.

    NAPOLI
Iezzo 6 Incolpevole sui gol.
Bogliacino 6 Prova a inventare qualcosa.

I totaly agree with careca, on paper we have a better team than Parma, Siena, Cagliari, Empoli, Catania, Reggina & Atalanta, but its all upto Reja to put that together. These are teams we should be beating up on. I say if we lose next week at Udine without scoring like we did today, sack Reja and Hire Guidolin.

Reality sets in....our transfer season was not sufficient.

Our team is not built for Serie A right now, we have 7-8 players who are Serie A ready other than that the rest of the team is made up of scrubs. I'm more pissed off that Napoli lost at home today. This is just a terrible start to Serie A.

Next game is at Udine, this could potentially get worse. We should also pick up Modesto from Reggina. Vigiani is welcome also hes a pretty good midfielder.

This was my prediction on another forum

A lot of people discarded Cagliari, however look at their team especially these names - Del Grosso, Parola, Fini, Foggia, Giampaolo. Reminds of Ascoli 05/06 doesn't it???
These guys together pulled of one of the best seasons for Ascoli, they know Giampaolo's system of the back of their hand. Names don't mean much, when you have a system, your players know it, and know your teammates game.

Whoever said for to get Modesto - smart move to get him, one of the best left wingbacks in Italy and is still young. Modesto was also far greater than Savini judging their seasons at Ascoli - theres a bit for indication. But Modesto has come of age with Reggina - will be called up for the NT, when Tonetto is gone.

Compliments on your pre-match analysis! You were on the money

As for Modesto, i don't think Napoli can sway him away from Reggina. At least not 5 days before the transfer market closes
