I've got that shirt. I remember the material on it being really thick though. I had it in long sleeve with 7 Larsson on the back and the champs patches. I'll have to dig it out i think its stuck in a draw somewhere. Its a nice shirt though. I remember the away shirt that season being really nice. It was the all white one with green stripes on the shoulders.

Yes, the obvious giveaway is that you wouldn't have the Serie A badge and the Champions League badge on the shirt at the same time.

In seria a games, i have seen the players shirts have both on, but is it that this cannot be done for replica shirts

Apparently liverpool tried to do this a couple of years ago by wearing FAPL sleeve badges and the Champions League badge as they won it but the Premier League said no.

It is apparently at discretion of the relevant FA so maybe the Italy FA allows it??

Proof? You wear the badges of the competition you are in. Serie A have their Target and shield along with the Liga Calcio badge, the CL has its own badges. You aren't allowed to cross over as it advertises the other competition.

WTF? Fair enough, I stand corrected, but that's just stupid. It's like "hey, we're not going to win the league, but look! We've won the Champions League a few times!" What a load of boolarcks.

Must just be the FAPL that won't allow it. Maybe it's because our players wear 2 PL sleeve badges and milan only wear 1?

They actually don't, they just have the LFP patch, and the two CL patches in the CL, as the Champions have the >3 patch I believe, so it adds up to two sleeve patches for the Champs at least.

That "3" is a TV station in Spain that sponsors Barcelona. It doesn't just go to whoever won the title.

I bought a Real Madrid jersey in Madrid 5 years ago that was a CL edition (that year the home jerseys didn't have the 3 stripes along the shoulder and arm except for the CL version) that came with the 9 CL patch along with the standard 100th anniversary patch for that season.

Does anyone know if Ajax wears theirs in Eredivisie? Bayern in Bundesliga? As far as I know, only AC Milan, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Ajax and Bayern Munich have the patches on. Maybe it's an Adidas thing?

i'm sure teams only get cl patches if they've won five or more euro cups, thats why man u don't wear one i think

I think you're right, Liverpool now have it and they didn't have it until they won it against Milan a few years back.

And thanks for the info DaeHa.

I have that 2002/03 kit and it was a nice looking kit, i liked it without the stripes which they would use for their league/games only and spanish cup, and also the Army style font for the players name/number on the back.

Talking of those 02/03 Real shirts remind me of the Madrid vs Utd CL knock-out round that season, and it brings back great memories. To me, Figo's goal was magical...and then the return leg was even better - seeing a Ronaldo hat-trick and a David Beckham FK. Being 12 at the time, it was fantastic, and having CL matches broadcasted live was new as well. It also was back in the days when I could enjoy watching football without knowing that a pile of schoolwork and studying was still to be done!

that two leg quater-final was one of the best imo, especially the home game at Old Trafford, the crowd was silent when Ronaldo scored the first goal.......and the second and third, aldo the standing ovation when he was substituted was fully deserved.

Beckham should have started that game.
Would have loved to have gone to that game, would have if it was now!

Sizes of numbers/letters and badges for reference.

The Solskjaer is official Lextra, Scholes is replica(from manutd.com).

I ordered the Solskjaer from onionbag.com. I don't think the official release date on the new away is until the 2nd week of September. Full pics of the shirt to come...
