yes, a hard-fought point on the road. but that was terrible by jens again. 2 goals allowed so far in league play, both 100 percent his fault.

This game just feels like a loss, even though it was a draw.

while i am also a gilberto fan, he's not really one who would have helped in this situation. he does his job and does it well but not really a physical, stick-it-in-there type.

    now, lauren . . . that's another story.

******** me man, gotta say jens mistake was horrible, but i cant blame the loss on him entirely, we completely lost the plot in the second half and decided we forgot how to pass under pressure, no composure on the ball and blackburns thug tactics are really slowing us down. this happens, but im still pissed.

I liked our steel, I thought we refused to get kicked around and gave as good as we got. Other than that, the second half was a horrible drop-off from the first. Yes, Jens made a horrible mistake, and I worry that he's just falling off the cliff. But we didn't show much else in the second half, either. It stayed an even game after Nelsen was sent off, we never seemed able to take advantage at all.

Disappointing, but last year we would have folded and lost. On to the next one.

that second half reminded me of our performance against Sheffield United last year, piss poor.

That's understandable. Jens is definitely not starting the next game. Almunia will be in for ManCity.

We should have got rid of Jens at the end of last season. Almunia must start next game, simple as that.

What about Fabianski? Not ready for Premiership yet?

Lehman lost us the lead and weve dropped 2 pts.

Im dissapointed, a day when United lost to City this was a great chance to add more points to our a lead. Still a draw is better than a loss and we still on track to beat our unbeaten record ( :D ) but I cant see us winning trophies with our habit of conceding.

Got City up next, lets hope Almunia starts.

Frankly, I don't feel safe with Jens or Almunia in goal, the problem at Arsenal is that when the goal keeper doesn't inspire confidence and calm the defence can look shaky. Seaman was normally a calming influence in the tem, and I want Fabianski to be our number 1 goalie, I just hope he is ready. Almunia is a good goalie for the carling cup or FA cup, but he isn't quality enough to be a number 1 goalie IMO.

Nah he's still untested. We'll probably use the carling cup to give him match experience.

Last week's error became funny only because we won. However this week, everyone is understanderbly p'd off and we've lost a valuable 2 points. Cech doesn't make these kind of mistakes - at the moment only Tony Warner is making more errors than Jens!!

I agree, but i've never seen Almunia ******** up that badly. Whatever you say about him you have to agree he is more consistent and far less error prone than Jens.

Very pissed off, still at least we didn't lose.

turning a 3 point victory into a 1 point draw does not constitute "cost us 3 points".
i am sure everyone agrees with lehmann being a liability at this point. i'm not sure how many would agree with the necessity for a racial epithet.

regardless of how frustrating a draw or a loss maybe.

Anyone feel there is truth in the opinion that the rest of the top 4 have world class keepers but Arsenal don't?

9 cards, 34 fouls! For a minute there it looked like some footy might break out in that UFC match.

I'm not suprised with the draw--I think everyone knew what tactics Marky Mark was going to employ and I'm okay with the single point.

What's really dissapointing is another costly mistake from Jens and a potential injury to Gallas. I think over last season's CC and pre-season this year Almunia has showed consistency and deserves a shot. He's not the shot stopper that Jens is, but I think he'll at least make the opponent earn it.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm starting to hate blackburn more than spurs--at least spurs try to play football. Right now, I can't think of a bigger cvnt than Savage.

RVP, Cesc, and Flamini in particular need to learn to just get on with it--there's no point in harassing the ref and it only serves to alienate him. That said the Wiley was consistently poor.

Bottom line...Blackburn made us play their game and we almost beat them at it--Danke, Jens!

Wenger: Gallas has groin injury, which means 2-3 weeks out.

I say give Almunia the start. Maybe it'll get to Lehmans cocky attitude if he sees his job on the line. He was world class but sure isn't showing it. Maybe some bench time can help him find it.
