Miguel Russo dispuso un solo cambio: el ingreso de Silvestre por el juvenil Urribarri.

A ver si aparece el equipo de Russo. Vamos Boca!

A las gayinas les suspendieron el partido por problemas entre los barrabravas.

Damn! Boca scores and then allows a goal right away. They are making this more complicated than it should be.

How's the team playing without an enganche?

I'm watching the America game and Insua is playing great 2 assists so far.:mad:.

Not playing well. They're getting some chances to score, but no clarity in the play. It looks like our best option is Ledesma heading the ball. They could use somebody like Insua right now.

They are having defensive problems as well.

Damn, a new enganche is seriously needed, the team can't play without one. Maybe Gracian.

Make that 3 assists for Insua now.

This sucks. Boca's defense is like swiss cheese. 3-2 Argentinos, and it doesn't look good. Boca is getting chances, but they are pathetic in the back.

Datolo and Boselli are in. It looks like desperation time. Lets see if they can recover.

What a joke. Hopefully this makes Macri and Russo wake up and finally get a replacement for Riquelme.

Heh, and there were bosteros who were saying that Boca was Boca and that Riquelme was only a player...

Well, hate to say it, but as great as Riquelme is, any team he goes to becomes dependant on him. Let's hope it doesn't :)p) take Boca as long as it took Villareal to recover their autonomy from the pecho frio.

It's not specifically Riquelme. It's the lack of an enganche period.

You did fine with Marino as your "enganche"

They sold Marino to some Mexican club and Franzoia went to Huracan. I believe currently Boca doesn't have an enganche in the first team.

    News: Altos verdugos para Boca

Los dos lungos de Argentinos Juniors le amargaron la noche al equipo de Russo. El delantero hizo un gol y le sirvió los otros dos al volante. Fueron las figuras del partido.

This is too funny. Are you blaming Riquelme because the team misses him? Are you saying that because he makes his teammates so much better, it is his fault that they are now slumping? That is ridiculous.

Obviously whenever a great player leaves a team, it is necesary for the coaching staff to make the proper adjustments, and Boca apparently did not make those adjustments to replace Riquelme. Maybe because they are still hoping to get him back, I don't know. But it cannot possibly be his fault that they didn't adjust to his absence.

What is true is that after two games the season so far is a disaster, and the team is underachieving. They look for Palermo in the air and he is in a slump. Palacio hasn't showed his usual speed and creativity, Cardozo has regressed. We need at least two of those three to step up. As good as Ledesma is playing, he cannot be our whole offense.

And, of course, the defense is suddenly vulnerable, with Cata gone and with Krupoviesa injured again.

So, Boca still has good names on the team, but they need to step up if they want to contend for the apertura. And, unless they get Riquelme back, or find a suitable replacement, (they won't get another riquelme obviously, but they need somebody who can play the enganche), then I am concern about this year's Boca living up to its reputation internationally.

The way they are playing now, I don't see this team as able to compete with the Euro champion, or even in Sudamericana.
