So now we've signed Dyer, and apparently are still trying to get Gudjohnson; am I alone in asking why aren't we trying to get a couple more strong defenders?
Is it the consensus that who we now have are good enough? If so, I think we're in for a very nervous season! I know that if Upson and Neill stay healthy things might be improved over last year,(and they had better be!) but I'm not convinced about the central defence. This was our weak point, and cost us many losses.I'm keeping my fingers crossed if this is it.

I amazed at the players AC thinks we needs to improve this club long term. The only players that excite me are Neill, Parker, Freddie and maybe Bell and Faubert (could turn out the best buy) Makes me wonder if Curbs is fining it hard to bring in quality players (with no baggage) due to all the bad press we have had. Maybe need to look abroad a little more like Sven has done.

    Neill-----Upson----Colins----Shorey

Is a fantastic first choice defence, stick Parker in front of them and I'm happy. Gabbs, Mc C and Spector are good cover as is Anton, on his day.

    Shorey is the key though.

I dont get the whole intrest in Shorey the times ive seen him play he just looks like a steady eddie which is fine if they are cheap but we wont get him for less than 5 million.
