That whole mess started with Carroll losing the ball at midfield, and Gros failing to intercept the subsequent pass to landycakes, thus allowing LA a two man to one advantage coming in on perkins. landycakes had a lane to make a pass if he wanted to. that is called a 2 on 1. DUH.

 

As a Houston fan said about Ngwenya after the botched PK last night ................ if this were wrestling, Carroll would rip off his DC United shirt right about now, and reveal a Galaxy shirt while running to their bench and yucking it up with their team.

You want to disagree, fine. But I have played with some keepers that did the same dumb thing. You want idiotic, keep blaming Carroll. He did not give up the goal. Gross made a mistake on the play. But there was no reason for Perkins to go off the line like he did and not be prepared for a shot. It was another stupid play on his part.

 

If we learned one thing from this game its that the 3-5-2 for DC United is dead. We just don't have the type of d-mids and defenders that it requires right now.

Can one player (Becks) really make that much of a difference. He looked amazing out there tonight. His 2nd free kick wasnt his best. The Galaxy looked horrible last week.

Again, you have no idea what you're talking about. That first goal was a hell of a strike that ANY kepper would've had difficulty saving. That second goal was clearly the fault of a defensive breakdown that hung Perkins out to dry.
