Well with some soccer trips looming in the future and a tight, tight, tight budget for the second half of 2003...this brotha needs some advice on how to get the BESTEST deal on a hotel.

I have usually booked rooms through Orbitz, Hotwire, Priceline, and Travelocity. Overall I have been pleased with the rooms I have gotten and the price I paid for them. But I was wondering if there are other sites or methods in which I can save even more $$.

    Thanks.

I recommend having lots of relatives to stay with. It may limit your options, though.

My inlaws own some hotels. What have you been paying and what do you consider "decent?" Let me know those things and I should be able to let you know more.

Go to the forum of the host team. People are more than happy to assist and will always get you the best deal on a local, safe hotel/motel. Not as nice as the Dong-Il, but good enough.

I've had some real good luck recently (actually this past weekend) with a $31 room near the Salt Lake City airport and a $30 room in downtown Salt Lake.

    My criteria...

$50 max for a one night stay.
$30ish for a multi night stay.
    Preferably in the downtown area.

If you want to be downtown, then I don't think you're going to do much better than that. Sounds like you've got the game figured out.

I stayed at the Anaheim Marriott for my senior trip. It's a pricey place though.
