If they keep on saying that flying makes his ankle swell up, then they should keep him in NEW ENGLAND, and Drive his BUTT to NEW YORK. Otherwise the GALAXY front office are a bunch of IDIOTS(<<REALLY RON86).

They're going to announce tomorrow that he'll make his first ever start for the Galaxy Wednesday in order to get ticket sales up from which I hear are doing horrible.

They should do themselves a favor and also announce that they'll be playing well and that the entire first half of the season was just a cruel test of our loyalty.

p.s. I can't believe I'm shelling out the money to watch this fetid team drop turds on the HDC for 90 minutes on Wednesday. I almost hope we lose big just to accelerate Yallop and Lalas' exit.

I hate to say it but im not paying 75 bucks to watch the Galaxy right now. What pissed me off even more is when somebody mentioned that you can't get your season seat price for the game. 75 bucks for a ticket, you gotta be effin kidding me. What an absolute effing joke. All I can say is take that Front Office. Your ploy of whoring Beckham around has backfired. People are fed up and pissed off. You have burnt your bridges with your loyal fan base. You have got to out of your effing mind if you think I will pay 30 dollars to park, and 150 dollars to watch the grass grow at the HDC. Almost 200 dollars spent before I even get to my seat? Thats about all the Galaxy is good for right now. I hope that there are less than 5000 at this game and this whole thing backfires on them. Why should we care about our season seat holders who have held seats for the last 3-5 years. We have thousands of 10 year old girls to make a "family atmosphere" at the game. All horse $hit aside, has anybody forgotten that we havent scored a goal in over 4 league games now? And you want me to pay 75 bucks to watch a game? Piss off!:mad:

Mark Rogondino was pretty adamant about the fact that Becks is going to see some very major significant minutes this wednesday. It's getting pretty pathetic 'cause you know they're only being told to say that to sell tix.

I don't really understand it either.

There was just a comment from Yallop and a few of the galaxy players saying that it's good for team morale.

Well, it's not good for your team if you keep losing because your key players (Cobi Jones and Becks) are flying with you which causes possible inflamation.

They said the people they use to help rehab both players are on the plane with them to these games so they have to go. I forget, how much money are these two dudes making? why can't they just hire someone from L.A. to do temp work on their injuries until the trainers get back to L.A. ?

What's the deal with Beckham possibly only playing in ESPN nationally televised matches and not FSN matches? Seems like whenever the match is going to be covered by ESPN, not much is revealed about the ankle but when it's only being broadcast on FSN, we get the full details.

When I read this thread title, I thought you were referring to the plane to Europe for the friendly on the 22nd! But you're absolutely right - he should not be traveling back to LA for the Superliga either. He should stay back east & get ready for the New York game.

What a zoo, circus, mess, whatever you want to call it.

If they had been concerned about the plane flight to Boston for yesterday's match... Um...maybe take a train? or charter a bus? It would probably take about the same amount of time as it would to travel by plane (thanks to airport traffic, security, waiting around, getting bags, etc. - with less risky results... But not sure if an all day travel - 7 hours by train - would be good either...but it is a thought.

What makes you assume I'm a soccer hater. I happen to be an MLS season ticketholder.
The article is still amusing. If I was a soccer hater, would I have given 2 shits to come on this board, much less even know about it.

I think he was directing the "soccer haters" comment towards the Onion writer, not you.

Out of protest, my two friends -- and fellow die-hard Galaxy fans will not be attending the Super(WhoCares)Liga match on Wednesday.

We're tired of being whored out this season by a front office that cares more about fast cash, jersey sales, and ten-year-olds then their 10+ year die-hard fans.

I hope they lose 5-0, Beckham remains in New York, 3,000 people show up with "Bench It Like Beckham" signs, and Lalas gets fired afterward, while Yallop resigns.

My landlord could coach that team and still lose. Why pay so much money for these idiots?
