I am not much for "hype" we just want the facts...

I don't think there will be too much surprise...when you buy a player for over 20 Million..there shouldn't be any "surprises"

The only thing that can stop Nani from being a world class players is his attitude. He has a good head on his shoulders, but if he exhibits what he did after his NT call up, he will end up like other youngsters who have gotten too much too soon.

Very true, but thats what I think the move to Manchester United was good for him as well, because SAF and Quieroz will quickly bench him is his ego expands.

Picture of Nani when he was here in the States as an SCP Junior. With him are Diogo Viana and Pedro Mendes from the Juvenis.

Kids got to play with him...

Think your getting ahead of urself just a bit.

Quaresma is in awesome form this pre season as well.

I think if no playmaker comes up Nani can be deploted centrally like hes done for united in the pre season at times.

i can see all 3 of Ronaldo-Quaresma-Nani being deployed at the same time..

1 playing right behind the striker..probably ronaldo..with quaresma whipping his trivelas in to go along with his probing runs while nani reaks havoc.

Then add Manelele and Veloso as D-mids ...

    fudas.

Please develop and fullfill your potential guys..please:(

    whaaaaaaaaaa??

What alternate dimension was this post in? this is the first time i was in this thread u ********ing clown.

I didnt bring up quaresma did i? read again, or is that to hard for your imbecile like brain cells to comprehend?

1- nani is still behind quaresma and simao..so i doubt he will start on the ntl team with ronaldo unless if no sub for deco arrives and he could be deployed centrally like he has at times for united this pre season.

nani is scoring some decent goals vs 5th division teams or vs chinese league squads and now he should be starter? quaresma is having a fantastic pre season as well setting up almost all of portos goals..and i dont even have to mention simao, who athletico madrid fans already love in the brief appearences he has played part in.

Nani in the middle could work, he is more athletic then Deco, definitly faster. But no where near as good a passer.

He's not the proper playmaker we would need definantly..problem is we lack options right now.

I wonder how scolari will play all 4 wingers..only 2 can start..and subbing both in would be difficult considering most circumstances..but its a good headache to have.

Nani has always been great at crossing, and now he's been working on his shooting, very good to see. Just needs to work on headers now, hes like a ostrich when going up for headers

Did I say you brought up Quaresma into this? No. My post was about how whenever there's a mention of Qboy, you come in and state the obvious about NT depth and preseason/season blah blah blah. You can make your point but there's no ********ing need to mention your NT hopes/Simao/Veloso/Manelecrush/etc. into every Quaresma mention even if it's in a Nani thread. I can tell you're a fanboy but let off the pedal for once.

On topic, a beaut of a goal by Nani but still doesn't beat the lob he did in China.

    that's retarded.
it's completely on topic to discuss the national team in a thread about Nani,
and give opinion on who is in front of him, or who isn’t.
    quit being an ass.

Well, discussing Nani and where he should be placed on the National team is not completely off topic. As long as it does include Nani....

Lets just remember to keep it somewhat civilized alright my fellow grasshoppers.

Anyways, I think Nani is going to definitly hold a position on the bench, at this point in time he is probably the first option.

I'm with you I'm surprised he didn't bring up Helder Barbosa, Vierinha and Carrico...

As expected Nani is on the bench for our game against Reading. He should make an appearance for Silvestre at some point in the second half.

Why is he playing forward? He is best suited on the right.

Nani played ok....showed some trickery, played the ball across well.

Because of injuries we had no forwards available. We even had to try O'Shea as a striker...

He did decently. Played in sort of a make-shirt striker role due to the injury to Rooney. Didn't work too well, he tryed though.

Not a bad showing by Nani. He looked fairly comfortable and didn't do anything bad out there. Watching him and Ronaldo work will be a treat.

Man, Alot of expectations riding on nani's shoulders. Without rooney & ronaldo, he will have to be the provider.

I think chelsea will take advantage of this. Sad to see Man U misfortunes happen this early in the season.

i haven't got the faintest idea why fergie subbed nani off today. he was having a decent game and replacing him with eagles was just plain weird.

Yeah, it was kind of odd. I think it was because Nani crossing was horrid, and a few opportunities were clearly wasted. But as soon as Eagles came off, that side of the field was rarely used...

He should of scored last game and this game he had a sitter, I don't care if it was 1 on 1 with the goalie he had so much room and for the second week in a row shot it right at the keeper.

He's doing well but you have to finish those.
