    Okay folks:

Selling tickets you have for face value - fine (see also: MattMathai).

Selling tickets for above face value? Not fine - and your posts will be deleted and you will face possible infractions.

Questions? Private message them to me.

Eh, you can mock Beckham for his girly looks, associating with Scientology or his marriage to Skeletor, but I find hard to fault a guy for being injured.

But if you are, how 'bout:

"Heal me Tom Cruise! Use your witchcraft!"

    :)

Woohoo! My financial empire can grow unabated!

Actually, I don't believe I have ever sold my tickets for face value. I typically charge what I pay for them, which is $24 on a ticket with a face value of $35.

Understand. Thanks for clearing up the issue.

Looks like he won't be playing in Toronto, so I'd say looking likely he gets 20 minutes at end of the game in DC.

Yeah, and I'll have flashbacks of Freddy's debut - come on, stand around, and then promptly get laid out by Boswell. Of course in Freddy's case, it was Waibel. But you get the idea. :D

The only paper that I truly trust says beckhem will not play for the Galaxy, EVER.

LOS ANGELES—L.A. Galaxy club officials said Monday that, under the terms of the insurance policy intended to protect their $250 million investment in star midfielder David Beckham, they would under no circumstances permit the high-priced Beckham to play soccer for them ever again. "We would have to be crazy to expose David to a hazard-filled game, situation, stadium, or even let him set foot in our potentially harmful training facilities," Galaxy head coach Frank Yallop said. "We have a quarter of a billion dollars invested in him, and our policy will not allow him to play in a game where physical contact, while rare, has been known to occur, as even a minor nagging injury could prevent Beckham from performing his primary duty of representing us in public." Galaxy executives addressed concerns that his wife Victoria will break him by announcing plans to encase Beckham in a protective block of Lucite, only taking him out for special promotional occasions.

    9 August - Post-game shenanigans

Despite being held on a Thursday night, is there anything happening after the game?

Yes. We're all planning on following you out to your car, stealing all your beer, wrapping you from head to toe in crepe paper, and leaving you for dead while we photoshop your image into sex photos with Tammy Faye Bakker/Messner/whatever.

I think we need to be careful about what we present about Becks at this game. I for one thought the Bench it Like Beckham stuff was funny, but we need to be aware of the overall impact of our actions. This is exactly the stuff that the mainstream media is looking for. If the soccer fans put an image out there that our number 1 player in the league is a wimp, it does nothing more than reassure their theories that footballers are wussies. I'm fine with just about anything, but we do need to be careful with the image that we send to the media beyond DC. Saying that let's put a woopin on LA like nobodies business:D

What's the capacity at RFK for soccer games. I see that the game is soldout, are there going to be extra seats put in for this game if so how many will they add (Total capacity with extra seat= ).

I hope Mr. Beckham plays, and you guys beat the crap out of Los Angeles.

Beckham probably won't even play on Thursday. I would have loved to see him on the pitch, but it's not that big of deal. I am at every United home game regardless of who is on the visiting team. My fear is that the casual fans who bought tickets only to see Beckham could be turned off by this act that the Galaxy is putting on: use ESPN to over-hype the player, play him too early in a meaningless friendly against Chelsea, and then toy with the public by not being straightforward about his injury. Along with the good that Beckham brings, this spectacle does bring along bad sentiment as well.

Anyway..like I said, Beckham definitely won't start at RFK on Thursday. We may see him a a sub, we may not... http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp...y?coll=la-headlines-sports&ctrack=2&cset=true

HA! I would actually like to see the DCU fans who've been out in the heat for 7 hrs mixing up with the Euro party set (but not for $50!!)

If the team is running anything it will appear on this page on their website so check back during the week. http://dcunited.mlsnet.com/t103/fans/gameday/

The capacity at RFK these days is around 44,000ish (for the baseball configuration they removed a lot of seats so it's down from it's 56,000+ that it was for Redskins games). They are not adding any temporary stands.

Thanks, so your looking at 44,500 for Thursday nights game. Great job on sellout this game, and if Mr. Beckham plays show him what the MLS is about.
