Well said Hammerette, right on the nail.

I have written this somewhere else but I still think that both ManU and Liverpool still have another sting in the tail with Kia as they are both effectively loaning their players. So this whole saga could well blow up all over again either this january (Masher) or in two years time (Tevez).

yes our club did accquire them in a dubious way.when it was run by terence brown.
and if kia joorabchian had taken over the club i wouldn't have been happy.

I believe that both clubs can buy the players at the end of the loan and for Kia that could mean 40 million so it would be to his benefit to allow the clubs to do that.

Yes, if he is willing to let them go and lose out on making any more money of them. It's a toss up between receiving one lump sum or keeping hold of their economic rights so he can keep reselling them.

My concern is that after Tevez has been with ManU for two years Kia might bottle it and try and take him away again before making the deal permanant. He will have had some of the £30m in loan money and he could easily make the rest up by loaning Tevez again to someone else. Alternatively ManU may be the ones to decide to give him back on or before the two year mark. Then potentially the legal wranglings could start all over again with who is due what based on who owns the player, etc. Maybe not in the same way as now but similar.

As for Liverpool owning Masher the details I read about that was not that they might want to buy him after 18 months but that they might want to give him back!! Read into that what you like but it suggests to me that they were desperate to get him on loan and not permanant, to the extent where they were willing to reword a loan deal to make it sound like it was permanant. Perhaps Kia's valuation of him was greater than Liverpool's so the clause to give him back to Kia kept the price down to £10m.

If this is the case then Liverpool may have a bit of a struggle with Kia in January if they decide they want to keep the player. If they can't agree some kind of extension of the current agreement then Masher will either be released by Liverpool (back to Kia's ownership...if he was ever not), Liverpool will try and negotiate a price to buy him off Kia or (even more difficult) try and claim that they own him because they own his regitration and have paid £10m for him.

I have padded out the facts with some speculation here but the point is even if none of this happens the potential for it to happen is there.

We justified the Argies landing at West Ham by saying that Kia would take over the club anyway. Just goes to show how your initial views and expectations can be shattered in time.

We will see what happens with Tevez over the next two years or so.

Well, well, well... an out of court settlement. Never would of thought that would happen.

Now hopefully all these manure trolls and assorted self-righteous masturbators will piss off back to the holes they came from.

I do get a bit tired of the self-annointed protectors of all things mancred.

You guys really need to get a life... :p

Don't think this is a silly question but I think i'm missing something.
Who are these guys on loan from????
    Us???
If so can they play against us???

This all makes my head hurt but I will always be thankful I got to see Tevez play for WHUFC.

That's something I'm not sure about either.

But let's not go there NOH, or we'll have every redshirted glory-hunter from here to the pacific logging on to tell us "the truth".

Like you, I thank him for his services and hope he has as successful a career at manure as his compatriot JSV. :p

Agreed. Except for the career part...

In a nutshell I think ManU are loaning Tevez from MSI, something which Liverpool were told they could not do without breaching PL rules.

But I have reached the point now where I am just glad to see the back of all the controversy and hopefully all the slagging off that goes with it. Good luck to Tevez, he is a world class player.

If thats true, I think the rules need to be changed and soon. We can't have agents and their companies owning and loaning players, whats next four team trades and seven players for one like the boring, crappy transfer system they have in the states?

The old system is exciting and fair, it should be left like that.

The lad is from somewhere in America. He probably doesn't even know where England is let alone Liverpool. The 07 in his name gives away the fact that he has just started supporting them. Perhaps he thought the CL cup looked pretty. Either that or the thought of deceiving their way to winning the FA Cup turned him on.

We paid about £5m in agents fees for both Masher and Tevez so by getting £2m back we are almost even. Mustn't grumble.

Being a so called scouser wouldn't it go straight to borstal for nicking cars. So that will be its first house.

As for Tevez i wouldn't have minded the whole thing going to court. We may have found out the real truth. As it stands none of us will ever really know. Although the scots guy seemed to think he did, he had read newspapers and websites. It appears he believed them if it suited what he wanted to believe.
