As far as I'm concerned, Faria should take as long as he wants to come back. And that has absolutely nothing to do with Damani Ralph. Some things are much more important than soccer.

Back on the game front, I was looking over the preview, and it looks like Ryan Suarez plays on the right side of the defense. I'm thinking the matchup between him and Mapp should be interesting, 'cause Justin is kind of a handful. Much more physical than Beasley.

Mapp might be a handful for an infant.

Really. That dude is skinny and sickly looking. He's useful for dropping the ball back and playing square balls for about 70 minutes, then he can't even do that anymore.

Next time he plays defense will the first.

At least he's suppossed to be fast, right?

    Suarez would manhandle him.

I just read that Bonseu is out with Ugandan National team, so Suarez might be moved into the center. (we're all praying we don't see Morrow guarding Ralph). In that case, Phil Salyer would be playing right back.

OR, Shavar Thomas might make his first MLS start in T-bone's place and hopefully guard Ralph. (Wonder how well these 2 know each other?)

Brief thunderstorms across the area, but they're saying they'll stop sometime early evening.

    FWIW, from Ziehm's column today:

"Rodrigo Faria is expected back from Brazil next week, but it's not a given. "
