It's not washable? Does it need to be dry cleaned instead? No way I'd buy it if it's dry clean only either.
Yea...I'd hope nobody is out there ordering the white kit...the less it sells the quicker Nike will have to restore normalcy.
Personally, I would never buy either of the new kits. I might be too traditionalist, but I only buy yellow and blue aways. My kit money this summer went towards a 70s home, 85 centenary home, and the new gold pre-match top.
Don't know if anyone has posted this already.. but i'm looking for the new away kit in long sleeve.. trying to find it for online order from the US but I haven't been able to yet any suggestions?
Well, we can approach it in two ways: 1. Continue to be pissed that Arsenal have a white away kit, don't buy it and keep your hopes up for a return to yellow and blue in 2009-10. 2. Realize that Arsenal now have a white away kit, buy it, wear it, embrace it and MAKE IT ARSENAL. When Arsenal start lifting trophies during the two year life of this kit, it will change our perception and become something else, if we allow it to. And we can still keep our hopes up for a return to yellow and blue in 2009-10!! I'm choosing #2. And keep in mind, all that glitters is not yellow:
Sorry Doug Arsenal dont have a white kit, Scum does. I would rather have that hideous pattern than the white kit.
Colt, but you're confirming my post above. We DO have a white kit now and it's how we individually and collectively approach it that will make the difference. I say if we're playing away at Boro or Liverpool, it's going to be a lot easier to pick out the Arsenal supporters if they're actually wear the new away colors than if not. Would yellow work the same way? OF COURSE. We had one for the last two years. The reality is that Arsenal IS wearing white for two seasons on the road.
More proof that Adidas make some truely horrid, horrid, retina burning kits. Let them stay away from Arsenal forever more.
I wouldn't wear the white kit even if I got it for free. I'm more than happy to rotate among my yellow Sega, 89 away, and 71 away for away matches.
Woot. I got my 04-05 Player Issue away kit in the post today, the same one the players wear rather than the replica. Much better made than the normal version. Will post pics when I take them.
Love that jersey. Gave it to a friend. way better than the blue one with the lightning bolt on it. Although, I did like the Olde Englishe Writing on the arse.
What is the difference I am trying to find the new away kit but having trouble finding a site where I can get the new lettering for a somewhat agreeable price, any help?
- No stitching, the whole shirt is heat pressed together - Totally screen printed so it's lighter - Lighter material that wicks sweat better than the replica There are a few other differences like bigger numbers and logos etc, but I haven't seen the shirt yet, it's at home at the moment. I'll post pics when I get home.
Bigman, sorry to hear it's peeling. Depending on where you bought it from, you may have options, as long as your shirt is in good condition (clean, hasn't been worn in a pub league match, etc.). Edited: Contact Nike's UK customer service and find out what their return guidelines are for the UK (it should be similar to ours): NIKE UK Headquarters 1 Victory Way Business Park Sunderland England consumer.affairs.gbr@nike.com
Dude how can you say it is OK to have a scum shirt pushed on us from Nike/Emirates? That is not Arsenal and no gooner should approach it as if its OK. I think the shirt looks good but cannot stand for it on principle.
okay? i dont understand...liverpool and manchester wear red, so you better throw those shirts out to.
Arsenal wear red w/ white sleeves, if they came out with an all red shirt I would have the same view about it being a Manc'y or Scouse'y shirt.
http://editorial.gettyimages.com/Search/Search.aspx?EventId=75874635 some photos of arsenal's new 3rd/euor kit. this would have looked slick if they used yellow rather than the red.......still better than the white edit: how tall is da silva? he looks tiny compared to everyone else on the squad, esp. bendtner
I understand your opinion. You can go back and look at my own earlier posts in these away kit threads and see that I was vitriolic about it at first. My point is, what Arsenal does on the pitch gives any of these colors meaning.
