I'm surprised he hasn't secured a move to a top european club yet, with all due respect to Udinese Everytime i've seen him play or score a goal, he does it with brilliance, technique and flair. Excellent striker, very exciting prospect, I hope to see more from him
well, i think a big part in that was when udinese secured him in the blind auction, they had already sold iaquinta and muntari, and hence didn't need money and also they needed a striker, so it was going to be really expensive to pry him away, hence teams wanted him, just didn't want to pay, say, 15M pounds or upwards for him.
Agreed. They'll develop some familiarity with their own styles and hopefully they won't end up like Totti and Cassano. It also helps that Di Natale and Quagliarella are both napolitani.
I think it would be a very dynamic partnership aswell, Di Natale with his speed and dribbling combined with Quagliarella's scoring instinct and movement. Pretty menacing for defences, and with the ability to score from anywhere around the box. Hopefully Quagliarella will be able to better develop his playmaking abilities. If he can put some of that raw instinct and decison making into laying on other players I think he would be a much more complete player.
Let the guy play, a season or two, in a club who don't expect him to score nearly every game. He's still got a bit of developing to go. A club like Udinese will build on his last season form, and turn him into a consistant player. If we throw him at a big club too soon, expectations may be too great, and once you fall from a big club, its almost goodbye, cause you may see yourself on the bench for a season or two. Then trying to regain form, from the past, may be too greater of a challenge with clubs demanding results.
If he has a good European Championship that will improve his chances of a move. I just hope he stays in Italy.
